While you're here, please explore our site and learn more about the groundbreaking
40 Days for Life effort. We are convinced that, with God's help, 40 Days for Life will mark the beginning
of the end of abortion in America.
Two abortion centers close!
Two abortion facilities where 40 Days for Life vigils have been conducted have recently ceased operations. Abortion Services in New City, New York closed in April. Aaron Women's Health Center in Dallas, Texas closed in June.
The reasons for each closing are different, but in both cases it's clear that prayer was effective. In both locations, people prayed outside for years for an end to abortion.
“With less than a month before registrations begin for this fall’s 40 Days for Life campaign, God has given us another beautiful gift to show what can happen in a community when dedicated people pray, fast, and put their faith into action,” said David Bereit, national campaign director of 40 Days for Life. "Would you like to see this kind of impact in your home town?”
Wrapping up the Spring campaign
The first simultaneous national 40 Days for Life campaign of 2008 brought many blessings. A number of local campaign leaders are sharing their enthusiasm about the many victories reported during 40 Days for Life. Listen to their stories — in their own voices — in these two audio clips:
Our continued
prayer intention is: Pray that the witness of 40 Days for
Life bears abundant fruit, and that we begin again each day to storm the gates of hell until God welcomes
us into the gates of heaven.
