Former Planned Parenthood director tells story on O'Reilly Factor

During the fall 40 Days for Life campaign, the director of the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Bryan, Texas resigned her job. Abby Johnson had worked at the clinic for eight years, but departed from the facility following a profound change of heart about abortion after she witnessed an ultrasound abortion.

Answered prayers: Pensacola, Florida abortion clinic closes

With a very brief legal notice in the local newspaper, a Pensacola, Florida abortion facility quietly announced its closing. The clinic has been the site of three 40 Days for Life prayer vigils, including one that just concluded on November 1.

The notice read, "As of October 30, 2009, The Community Health Center of Pensacola will be terminating its practice." This is the fifth closure of an abortion facility that has been the site of a 40 Days for Life vigil. More...

 

Kalispell, Montana Planned Parenthood abortion center closing!

Last spring, a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil was held in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Kalispell, Montana. Planned Parenthood has just announced that this facility will close on November 20. The 40 Days for Life team in Kalispell is convinced – prayer is powerful, and it works!

Planned Parenthood told the local media it is closing the center for economic reasons — or as Stacy James, a Montana Planned Parenthood executive, admitted to the daily newspaper, “We’ve not had the patient numbers to keep the doors open.”

 

40 Days for Life in America's abortion capital — New York City

Shawn Carney, the 40 Days for Life campaign director, recently visited 40 Days for Life campaigns New York City. Shawn made a short video account of his visit to the 40 Days for Life campaign in the city labeled “the abortion capital of America.”

You'll hear from a volunteer who puts in 6 to 10 hours every day outside of two of the largest abortion centers in the United States, and see hundreds of passers-by receiving a pro-life education on the street. The video is loud. Everything’s in motion. It’s got attitude. But hey — it’s New York City!

40 Days for Life fall 2009 campaign concludes; blessings abound

Thank you for an amazing 40 days! As we collect information about this fall's 40 Days for Life campaign, we have received 589 reports of mothers who've turned away from abortion abortion appointments and spared the lives of unborn children. We know of eight more abortion center employees who have quit their jobs – and we're praying for others who are considering it.

David Bereit, the national director of 40 Days for Life, marked the midpoint of this campaign at a rally in Augusta, Maine. Here's a video of his presentation.
