HOME: Welcome to 40 Days for Life

Silent No More Awareness Rally

On March 10, several prayer volunteers came to be a presence and spiritual support for two women who shared their abortion stories.   Special thanks to Roxie Richard and Christy Westover for the sacrifice that they made to come stand in the cold and rain and speak the truth about their abortion experiences.  Praise be to God that they are Silent No More!
The Iowa State Daily reported for the event and an article was featured the following day:

May all faithfully pray earnestly that many more like Roxie and Christy will experience the healing grace and mercy of God which can transform their lives forever changed by their abortions.

It's never too late to take a stand for Life!

From February 25 - April 5, our community is one of many cities from coast to coast joining together for the most dynamic coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- 40 Days for Life.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion facility.   Planned Parenthood distributes many chemicals pills that cause abortion including, The birth control pill, The 'morning after pill' (Plan-B) during the first week after conception, and the RU-486 pill up to five weeks after conception.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Planned Parenthood

The Planned Parenthood office is located at the corner of Chamberlain and Hayward directly across from Chamberlain Lofts on the south side of the street.
