Sneaking In and Our Response

Planned Parenthood "snuck" into Aurora just over a year ago. At the time, we formed Families Against Planned Parenthood, and held a 40 day prayer vigil, just prior to the national 40 Days for Life campaign, in an effort to stop the destruction of human life.

Prayer Delays Opening

Our prayer vigil extended to 55 days, because for just over two weeks the facility's attempts to open were foiled by our efforts, prayers and the intervention of the Holy Spirit.

After the two-week delay, the abortion facility did, unfortunately, open. Then, we refocused our efforts from the 24 hour prayer vigil into a long-term effort, covering every opening hour, and more. Our ongoing "Life Support" now covers hours Tuesday through Saturday, from an hour prior to their opening, to an hour after their closing.

Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood

Families Against Planned Parenthood (FVFAPP) began with a meeting in a church basement of 80 (or so) people, organized by local resident Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League, when we learned of Planned Parenthood's intentions.

The Pro-Life Action League

The Pro-Life Action League has been a tremendous help in all our efforts. Eric, who works for the League and lives in Aurora, has provided much of the leadership of FVFAPP, and the League has generously supplied us with whatever is needed, from yard signs, to the web site, to organizational skills, etc.

Chronicling the History

Eric has chronicled the history of this event in his article "The League at Ground Zero". If you are not familiar with our efforts here, this article will give you much of the background.
