40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in Austin—and throughout America.

Austin is excited to unite with 211 other cities across the the fall 40 Days for Life campaign from February 17 - March 28. After Austin's first 40 Days for Life phenomenally successful campaign this past spring, Austin is gearing up for a bigger and better prayer vigil this fall.

This spring 40 Days for Life Austin will maintain a prayer vigil at TWO abortion facility locations. We are pulling out all the stops to allow God to work through us like never before to end abortion.

The TWO prayer vigil locations for 40 Days for Life Austin Fall 2009 are:
   International Healthcare Solutions 
      (9805 Anderson Mill Rd, Northwest Austin)
   Austin Women's Health 
      (1902 S I-35, South Central Austin)

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion facilities. 

Here are some of the successes 40 Days for Life has been blessed with in the Austin community:

  * 500+ people participated in 40 Days for Life Austin 2009
  * 75 people were trained as Sidewalk Counselors to 
    lovingly offer women alternatives to abortion as they 
    entered the abortion facility
  * 3 post-abortive women finally started to seek healing from 
    an abortion in their past
  * Four different news sources featured the Austin 40 Days 
    for Life prayer vigil in their headlines

  * TEN WOMEN HAVE CHOSEN LIFE FOR CHILDREN 
    THEY WERE GOING TO ABORT

Across the country and world, 40 Days for Life has seen blessings as well:

  * More than 2,010 women who have chosen life for children 
    they intended to abort 
  * Countless men and women with abortions in their past 
    finally started to seek healing 
  * 25 workers in the abortion industry have questioned and 
    left their jobs
  * More than 100,000 Christians have brought their faith to 
    the streets, and thousands upon thousands of hearts have 
    been changed.
  * 280 cities in 50 states have participated, and 6 other 
    countires have participated too
  * 3 abortion facilities shut down for good

Texas Rally For Life - January 23, 2010

More than 4,000 pro-lifers marched at our Capitol.   It was the largest turnout, by far, for this annual event.  God's Spirit could be felt, as well as heard through the speakers.  Listen to our own, Elizabeth McClung, speak about 40 Days for Life.

The upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign runs from February 17 - March 28.  Austin is pulling out all the stops as we maintain our peaceful prayer vigil at a North Austin abortion facility and a South Austin abortion facility. 

In order to maintain the constant vigil for 40 days, we need prayer volunteers! Now that Christ has called you to bring Him to the abortion facility, you can use the link below to sign up for a regular weekly hour to go Stand & Pray at the vigil.

Join us at the public right of way in front of 1902 S IH 35 Monday February 15 at 7 pm for an exciting evening gearing up for Day 1 of 40 Days for Life.
