WHEN:       February 17 - March 28

Locally, our goal is to have fervent prayer at Hillcrest Clinic for 12 hours (7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.) during the 40 days.  In addition, we encourage parishes, particularly those located far from Hillcrest, to hold vigils at their local abortion facilities or in their parishes.

We are asking churches to "adopt-a-half-day."  We invite you to select one or more blocks of 6 hours to commit parishioners (at least 2 at a time) to pray outside Hillcrest Clinic.

WHY:         Because YOU can help save lives!

This spring, from February 17 to March 28, our community will be one of more than 250 cities joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

• 40 days of fervent prayer, coupled with some type of fasting, if possible 
• 40 days of peaceful vigil, either at an abortion facility, in church, school or home. 
  
  • Be a prayerful presence at Hillcrest or another abortion facility.
    
  • Arrange a prayer service or pray privately at church.
    
  • Ask you pastor to include a prayer in support of this effort at all your services. 
    
  • Put reminders in the bulletin each week of the campaign.

We Pray for:  

• Women and their babies who are in danger of abortion
  
• Healing of men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion
  
• Workers at abortion clinics, and local, state and national leaders who misguidedly support abortion.
