Northern Ireland
HOME: Welcome to 40 Days for Life

The situation in Northern Ireland

While abortion remains illegal in Northern Ireland, the FPA (Family Planning Association) - an affiliate of International Planned Parenthood Federation - operate two "Abortion Referral Agencies", from where they refer women to abortion 'clinics' in England. These "Abortion Referral Agencies" are in Northern Ireland's two largest cities - Belfast and Derry.

YOU can help save lives!

From February 17 - March 28, our communities will be among the 163 cities internationally joining together for the most dynamic coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- 40 Days for Life.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion throughout the world.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

FPA Abortion Referral Agency
Shaftesbury Square
Belfast

FPA Abortion Referral Agency
Carlisle Road
Derry
