This has been my first experience in 40 Days for Life. I have been participating at the Traverse City, Michigan PP site. Even though they don't do abortions at this site, I am convinced that we have made an impact on the community. I have had many stop to comment. Examples being: One girl (sobbing) thanked me for being there and that she had been in that (PP) facility 10 years ago and was lied to. She encouraged us to keep doing what we are doing, revealing the truth!.

One young lady riding her bicycle stopped to tell us that we had no right being there doing what we are doing when (while she was still talking, a van pulled up beside us as a young mother with children interupted and said "God bless you for being here, keep it up"!) The timing of this young mother was orchastrated by God.

Beside others encouraging us, the friendly horn and the thumbs up was also encouraging.

Learning the hard statistics of how many babies were saved and employeees that quit their jobs at PP are great but simply changing the hearts and minds of our community is powerful. May the light of truth through our faith in Jesus Christ be a guiding light upon our communities as we stand and pray for the mothers with child, who are in such turmoil, as we pray for "Thy will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.".

God Bless all of you!

I was impressed by so many passersby tooting their horns and waving at us this time. Many more than ever before. These are young college age students. Two of them were high school students who told us to keep up what we are doing; that we are making a difference.

My family and I have been praying in front of a private abortion clinic in CT. There are a number of others from an Evangelical group who have been praying and helping for years and a man in his 80's who has been distributing literature as well.

There have been many saved lives; but also many abortions. Last week one of the Pro-Life members advised a girl to visit Hopeline about a mile from the abortion clinic. She did and has decided to keep her baby. We give material help to the mothers as well.

Although we are not officially in the "40 Days for Life", we have been praying and doing sidewalk counselling two times a week year/round. We appreciate reading about the great successes of "40 Days for Life" and I have informed parishes about it. God bless you for all you do!

I'm happy that so many courageous people are out on the streets saving mothers and their unborn children from abortion. Your actions inspire me to do more than just donate. I am going to try to do more. May God strengthen and inspire you all.

Mothers, bring your young daughters and sons to the prayer vigils at an early age. Teach them to respect life and to see the pain experienced by those girls and women who thought they could have sex without getting pregnant. That would be a powerful message for them to abstain from sex until they were married. Sex (adultery) outside of marriage can lead to a need for an abortion (murder). Why put yourself in that position when you are too young to know the full ramifications of your actions? You will then have to live the rest of your life regretting your mistakes. GOD'S way is so much better! We as humans are not programmed to kill our offspring.

I am so thankful for my good friend, who attends a college near one of the 40Days for Life vigils, who has participated with me each year since I've learned of this movement. I feel blessed than I know another person in their 20s who stands for life and am encouraged by the photos online of younger people who understand what we are working toward and have chosen the fight for life. My mother and grandma were also able to join me at a vigil in another town during this fall campaign. It was a little out of their comfort zone but I knew it touched my mom's heart and exposed my grandma to what I am so passionate about first hand. Thank you all for posting pictures and blogging about your experiences to use in the updates I forward to my prayerful friends!
God bless.

Martha, that's an amazing story. God restores all things and the woman you speak of will surely be fully restored and healed.

As we prayed the rosary here in Trenton, a middle aged woman pulled up in a car got out and asked for literature for the Pro-life side. She was attending a class and she wanted to give the unborn baby's point of view. While she talked she lead me away from the rosary group and confided in me, that at 16 she had an abortion and how so sorry she was and still is. While on the table she had changed her mind and tried to tell the "doctor", but he said it's too late and continued the procedure. We both cried...and through my sunglasses I saw the pain in her face and the effects that this poor young girl went though and still goes through, at the hands of this man who was too greedy to let this baby live. God help us!

So, he said to me, "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
'Not by my might nor by my power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD almight.'
