Since my first responding to 40 Days for Life in the late summer of 2007, I have become "a new creature in Christ". My faith in the Lord has grown in leaps and bounds. I have a new and stronger purpose for my own life, a greater boldness in serving Him and more venues for speaking The Truth in Love. I have received blessings beyond measure and an assurance of Christ's attention to me and others. I have experienced a much greater awareness of The Lord's presence, authority, and power. He has lifted me up from the depths of despair when satan has "come in like a flood". Jesus has given me increased joy and peace as I have learned to "be still and know" He is God. I have met and become close to many brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. I have experienced loss that almost took my breath away. I have been used to save lives and to help restore souls to our Heavenly Father. To HIM be ALL THE GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE! To God be the glory, great things He has done, is doing and will do! Hallelujah, what a Savior is Jesus Christ our Lord.

My husband and I have been able to pray at the abortion clinic in our city only once and we learned some shocking details while there. We learned that our healthcare provider, Health Partners, owns the abortion clinic in Regions Hospital in St Paul, MN. We were unaware as all of our friends were. I also learned that an average of 3 abortions/day are performed there. So, my daily prayer is specifically for the three women each day that have appointments. Although I can't be at the clinic daily, I pray throughout each day for "the three" (figurativly), the drs, nurses, and all involved. I KNOW God is listening and I believe when I reach heaven, someone will be there that will say to me, "because you prayed, I was not aborted but lived." Won't that be awesome!

As Sr. Rosalita suggests, I've been praying to St. Michael quite a bit today! Fortunately, none of our volunteers have been attacked, but just today we've had an odd streak of volunteers having trouble getting to the vigil site, including an illness, a flat tire, and a three-car accident on the expressway (the volunteer is fine, thank God!). It seems the clinic workers are not the only ones getting antsy at this point in the vigil. Keep the prayers up, everyone. We're almost at the midpoint!

Praising God for 40 Days for Life. Just wanted to thank Jesus for the SAVE at the Hope(less) Clinic today in Granite City, Illinois! When we finished praying the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the prayers to close down an abortion clinic and the Litany to END abortion, a lady came over and told us, "There has been one save today! A young couple came out and they said they changed their minds and were going to keep their baby!" Praising God for that blessing. Thank you Jesus and Our Lady of Guadalupe! Everyone keep up the prayers! God bless you!

Well, just after 12:00 p.m. (which were the first two minutes at the vigil site for me here in Seattle, WA @ The Northgate Way/Meridian Ave) did Della & I have a woman who stepped right into Della's face (she was much shorter than Della so she had to crane her neck completely backwards) and told us that she had been seeing us quite a bit lately and that because of us "blankety-blanks," she just gave P.P. 500 hundred dollars to help them...She was becoming so agitated waving her receipt in Della's face all I could do (while standing beside Della) was say Oh, Jesus, oh Jesus, Oh dear Jesus, Jesus, Jesus...very steady and slowly did all of sudden the woman quiet down and abruptly turn and walk away. We both prayed that the money for P.P. including that 500 hundred would literally fly away from them for any use as well as the entire organizations' money. Later that day I had a homeless man (which I met last week) named Ron who was extremely intoxicated just @ the 1:00 p.m. hour. I said hello, Ron! It is very nice to see you again, how are you today? He was shocked that I remembered his name. He said he wasn't going to lie that he was headed across the street to get a burrito and a beer because he was hungry and then he was going to take a nap. I asked him if I could pray with him (like last time) and he said that he prays every night before he goes to bed (he sleeps outside because he carries a backpack with a bed roll on it). I said that is nice, Ron, do you pray like this: Our Father who art in heaven....Ron said shouted, YES!!! Pauline and I got real excited and we all three began reciting the prayer as Ron led us. Hallelujah! He then asked for prayer (as now he was crying) for deliverance from alcohol because he couldn't stop drinking. Pauline and I prayed for him asking The Father to deliver him today from all addictions and to restore him fully...then I gave him my lunch and he happily walked across the street to the 7 Eleven and ate lunch and rested...Thank you Jesus!!!

In the light of today's topic, I would like to remind everyone of the story of Joshua. In chapter 1 of Joshua, the Lord spoke to Joshua, telling him in verse 5, "Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you..." In verse 6, God says, "Be strong and courageous...", and in verse 7, He says, "...be strong and very courageous..." Finally, in verse 9, the Lord says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." The abortion industry may seem like a giant to us, just as the people of Canaan did to the Israelites, but we must hear God's word. If we believe that God wants to bring an end to abortion, then we must believe that He will be with us wherever we go, including to the abortion clinic. So keep on going, and the Lord be with you!

Friday March 25 was a little gift from Mary on the feast of the Annunciation. Our abortion clinic normally does a half a dozen abortions on Friday afternoons, but yesterday the clinic had some sort of inspection and did no abortions! Thank you Almighty God!
I hope others experienced similar situations!

Raleigh NC has had several 40 Days prayer vigils that I have been so inspired to participate. This current campaign of prayer is being held in a neighboring college town, so it is further away. Our "captains" asked us to support this vigil as much as we could, especially since it was organized by a student. Our parish had adopted a Saturday, but since I was to be out of town, I went by myself on a Thursday.

And I was there praying with the company of my Guardian angel, when a man pulled over and asked what I was doing. I am praying, I replied, and showed him the sign "Pray to end abortion" and the other side "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you" He paused a moment and told me I was being judgemental. I told him, no, I was praying for the women, the workers, everyone who had to have contact with that horror (like bankers, mailmen, fedex, ups, etc) and for the babies being killed. He said that was very nice and caring thing to do, but I was still being judgemental because of the sign I was holding! Immediately I showed him the side "Before I formed you..." and said these are not MY words, these are God's. He mumbled something and I told him I was sorry, I couldn't understand what he was saying, so he repeated "I just don't think this is what Jesus would do. Jesus wouldn't be here pointing fingers and making people feel guilty"

I was flabbergasted. All I could squeak out was "I'll keep praying, thank you" and put my head down and prayed for that man. He drove away, shaking his head.

One minute later, a woman drives up, parks her car on the side of the road and asks if she could pray with me. She was a beautiful, powerful prayer warrior as she prayed for the end of abortion in her community, and thanked God for the people who pray amidst the curses and insults thrown at them. It was an experience I will never ever forget, because after the first encounter with that man, I wilted and became fearful; but then God immediately sent me help in that woman's presence and prayer that sustains me still.

I came home and spoke with my husband about the encounters...asked him what he would have said in reply to the question "What would Jesus do". Without a moment's hesitation, he said "JESUS WEPT". and he praised God for the help of the unknown woman.

I have been participating in my own way for two campaigns now. I have a beautiful pin of the baby feet surrounded by the crown of thorns, and another pin of baby feet. The person who gave these pins to me told me they are actually the size of the babies about the time of their abortions. 1/4 inch - tiny little fit - it's hard to imagine how anyone can destroy life when you see those feet.

Though I haven't been to one of the Planned Parenthood Centers yet, I have one near my work and one near my church, so I hope to work that into my schedule especially with many Lenten Church services now. In the meantime, I read your daily updates, make the sign of the cross and pray for those babies who were aborted that their souls are at rest, pray for those who face abortion, and for those families affected by this horrible thing.

Yesterday, I was at a teacher conference in Pasadena all day. Some of the teachers noticed my pins and asked me what they were for. When I explained to them about the world wide campaigns going on, they all got shivers up and down their arms. We talked about how horrible this is that people choose to destroy life, and what right do they have to take away the right to life for those babies. One of the teachers said someone sent her a video by e-mail to watch of the abortion process, and after a minute, she had to turn it off - it was so violent. One of my priests described a late abortion process to me, and he said we have to keep praying for this all to end, as life is precious, and no one, other than God, has the right to choose when life ends for anyone.

Please keep up the good work - I never knew that Planned Parenthood participated in abortions. I thought they handed out information on birth control. You have enlightened me, and I am so thankful to be part of this and read all the good things happening. The best news was hearing the de-funding of their program - when the money dries up, so does the opportunity for evil to continue. God bless all of you.
