We're gearing up inthe Twin Cities with the emphasis on pastors personally participating by leading prayer for one day, for a half hour. Already we are close to having half of the slots filled!

At this rate we will have the best interdenominational mix since we began 40 Days for Life three and a half years ago. On our "Get Involved" page we posted a short video from Spiritus Films featuring pastors fom various denominations encouraging their peers to participate. Post it to your site and share it with pastors.

This hap[pen a week after the start of 40 Days but just got our act toegthre to blog
I know many of you have received e-mails encouraging you to join in praying for life, at the Planned Parenthood clinic (600 Nut Tree Rd, Vacaville,CA) and I wanted to share with you something that happened, while we were there.

As we were walking and praying, I saw a woman, walking with a purpose, toward Francis (one of the folks praying there) and I began bracing for, what I thought, was about to become a confrontation. I couldn't have been more wrong. This was not a confrontation, but a confirmation. Let me explain.

The women walked up to Francis and said I've never done anything like this before, but I had to let you know about this. She then showed Francis a photo of a young lady and said this is a picture of my granddaughter and I've had custody of her since she was 4 month old. Fourteen years ago, my daughter was pregnant and on her way to have an abortion, but when she got to the clinic there were people like you in front of the clinic, praying. When my daughter saw that she couldn't go through with the abortion and I now have a beautiful 14 year old granddaughter. She went on to say "I just wanted to let you know that you are making a difference". She then thanked us and left.

The whole encounter took about three minutes, but her words will be with me for the rest of my life. To all of you who have gone to this or any other "40 Days For Life" sight, you are making a difference, you are educating the uninformed, you are saving lives!

For those of you, who for all of your good intentions, still haven't made it out to a sight to pray, I encourage you to please, step out of you comfort zone, live your faith and join us in praying to save babies. You just never know how your actions and prayers might influence someone's decision to keep their baby. Catholic radio host, Patrick Madrid, referred to Christians as being part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed". I'd say that everyone, out there praying in front of abortion clinics, are very much a part of that Fellowship. Won't you join us?

All life is precious, please pray

Early on Sunday, I prayed outside Regions Hospital. I love the early morning hours. It’s incredibly peaceful. Always! It’ also a time when north bound traffic on Jackson street is heavy. Does being there make any difference? Why not just pray from the comfort of my own home? It’s hard to say. What I do know is that on weekdays between 6 and 8AM more than a hundred cars drive by every 5 minutes. I stopped praying for a while and counted cars. That’s how I know. Here’s what I noticed – some drive in to the main entrance – employees arriving for work – patients coming to check in – many arriving by taxi. Who knows? Maybe one of them has an appointment for an abortion. That would not be the case on a Sunday morning, but every other morning of the week – a likely scenario.
That’s what I see. What do these people see? An old guy on his knees praying – with an assortment of signs: “Choose Life”… “Stop abortion, it’s killing people”… “Abortion is not a health benefit” … “40 Days for Life.”

May our efforts have an impact that goes beyond anything we might see at the moment.

On the final wednesday of 40days in Everett, Wash. the p.p. changed their hours for whatever reason, but first planned parenthood changed
their entrance doors from the front to the side and at the same time put up 6big trees to block our view, and then the next week we came p.p.
put up 6more trees to further block our view because they could still see the people of prayer-- don't they understand that God's presence and prayers cannot be blocked off no matter how they try and shut us off.
We have now changed our prayer time to be there when p.p. opens,
because it's obvious p.p. business is hurting and besides they can never silence our love for LIFE.

The young man shifted his cap and demanded to know what was wrong with abortion; why not accept to proabort's ideas? He was adement. I asked if his view included murder of the child. I explained the steps leading up to a late term abortion in all its details. The young man's jaw dropped. He saw clearly that the activities going on in Germantown Reproductive Services was indeed murder. He then walked away, speaking under his breath, saying "Now I have something to think about."

I will continue to go to Planned Parenthood and say a rosary every Monday and Tuesday morning as that seems to be what the good LORD has called me to do. I tell HIM to wake me up in time to be there by 7am and he does.
I do now go with a smile and am of good cheer that I'm doing the LORD's work so I wave at all who drive by
GOD bless YOU all for your good work

We had a great turnout for a "final" hour of prayer at our site in La Crosse - 22 warriors praying and trying to stay warm pr offerinf up their discomfort in the cold to storm the gates of heaven and hell outside our local Community Hospital that does abortions in "practice" but not in policy.
We are hoping our presence and prayers joined with the thousands across the globe - will stop the abortions here. We also had a gathering of about 50 people for a Hot soup and Chili supper to celebrate and share our stories of our 40 Days for Life.

On Saturday we were made aware- by a bus driver who saw us praying for 38 days- of a local teen who is pregnant and homeless in our area. We are currently trying to make contact with her and gather her into the loving arms of our community and the services that are available to her to help her continue her pregnancy and get on her feet.- Please continue to pray for this young women and the many others in crisis pregnancies - that they will open their hearts to accept the Love and care of Christ's soldier in this battle against the temptations of evil and abortion.

Thank you to all our local prayer warriors and to all of you around the world- even when I was physically alone praying sometimes - I Never felt alone knowing you were all praying with me - and God and my Guardian Angel were always with me! Keep the Faith and the prayers going.
