Here’s a talk about 40 Days for Life I delivered before 1,200 people at the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., Adult Rally on January 22 — shortly before going to the March for Life on the National Mall.

A whopping 155 cities coast-to-coast across the United States, 4 Canadian provinces, and 3 Australian states will participate in 40 intense days of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil outside abortion centers, and grassroots outreach from February 17 – March 28.
We’ll be releasing the list of cities later this week, but couldn’t wait to let you know how God is stirring the hearts of people around the world to participate in this upcoming 40 Days for Life!

*******************************************************
Focus on the Family will be airing a two-part radio show about 40 Days for Life on Thursday, January 21, and Friday, January 22 to a worldwide audience.
Their special Roe v. Wade show will feature 40 Days for Life campaign director Shawn Carney and former Planned Parenthood abortion center director Abby Johnson, interviewed by Focus on the Family’s president.
The show will focus on the role 40 Days for Life played in Abby’s conversion, resignation from the abortion business, and becoming an outspoken pro-life advocate — and will include a strong call to action for people to get involved with 40 Days for Life.
This show will air on 2,000 radio outlets in the United States and will also be available for online listening. To find a radio station near you, visit:

4.) MEET US IN WASHINGTON, D.C. OR SAN FRANCISCO
*******************************************************
The two largest pro-life events of the year happen this week — the March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Friday, January 22, and the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, on Saturday, January 23.
These events take on more significance than ever as Congress prepares to vote on sweeping health care legislation that would mandate abortion coverage and government funding of abortion.
This could be our LAST CHANCE to take a public stand and send a clear message to Congress and our nation:
“NO abortion in health care!”
My family and I will be attending both events along with 40 Days for Life national team members Shawn Carney and David Brandao. We will also be joined by Abby Johnson — former Planned Parenthood abortion center director from Texas who experienced a conversion during last fall’s 40 Days for Life.
We’re working on times and locations where we can meet up with you in person if you’re able to attend either event, and will be sending you the details soon.
Here are a few resources we helped put together for these important events…

In addition to airing the two Being Human shows this week, EWTN will also be airing extensive coverage of the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 22, and the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco on Saturday, January 23.
The network will be showcasing 40 Days for Life during its live coverage.
40 Days for Life will be featured during the San Francisco event, as I speak at the large opening rally, along with Abby Johnson — former Planned Parenthood abortion center director from Texas who experienced a conversion during last fall’s 40 Days for Life.
As mentioned above, EWTN is on many cable and satellite systems and the programs may also be viewed online at air time at: http://www.ewtn.com/audiovideo/index.asp

6.) SPECIAL MLK DAY MESSAGE
*******************************************************
Yesterday I was in Memphis and spoke at their large Walk for Life event. It was exciting!
While in town, I went to visit the Lorraine Motel — where Dr. Martin Luther King was shot — and the National Civil Rights Museum.
It was a very moving experience.
During my talk at the Walk for Life, I shared the strong connections between Dr. King’s work and 40 Days for Life — and how the pro-life movement can learn from social reformers of the past.
During the talk, I also told the inspiring story of Devanie Cooper — the heroic 17-year-old homeschool high school student with no drivers license who started 40 Days for Life in Memphis and led the city’s first campaign.
She’s amazing! Despite threats, challenges — and even a lawsuit (that was finally dropped) — her efforts helped to mobilize over 450 people, save 12 lives, and force Planned Parenthood out of the building it has occupied for decades!
The talk was recorded in its entirety:
