The deadline to apply TO LEAD a local 40 Days for Life campaign in your community this fall is TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 31.

Before every campaign I hear, “Shawn, I feel like maybe I’m supposed to do this, but I’m not sure if I can.”

Yes, leading a local campaign can be a challenge. But this IS a leap of faith and we’ve seen countless people take that leap. God always supplies the necessary grace when people respond to His call — and Jesus tells us, “Be not afraid!”

But it’s important to always remember WHY we do this.

Just a few days ago, David Bereit and I spoke at a small pro-life luncheon in Maryland, where we shared numerous stories of people who took that leap of faith … and the life-saving (and soul-impacting) victories that God accomplished through their faithfulness.

If you are trying to discern the unique role that God has for YOU in this life-saving work — or just need a shot in the arm of positive, uplifting encouragement — make time today to watch or listen to this recording.

If you know in your heart that your town NEEDS this life-saving campaign, know that with God’s grace you can overcome whatever obstacles are holding you back.

Just remember WHY we do this, and then apply to lead a local 40 Days for Life campaign (online or by mail) at:

(If you’re not feeling the call to leadership, please take a moment to pray for those who are discerning this step of faith.)

Yours in Christ,

PS: Just a reminder that the applications are only for LEADING local 40 Days for Life campaigns. To take part in the campaign from September 26 to November 4, no application is required.

Planned Parenthood webcam abortion center – CLOSED

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012

It sounds too good to be true:

“Ex Planned Parenthood manager — fired after speaking out against a dangerous abortion procedure — conducts 40 Days for Life campaign outside her former workplace, leading to its permanent closure.”

But, as Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Watch the 9-minute video above that tells the story of the miracle in Storm Lake, Iowa.

God does work miracles … and He can accomplish many more miracles like this when we are faithful to His call to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

If a former Planned Parenthood manager can muster the courage to lead a 40 Days for Life campaign outside of her former workplace, could God be calling YOU to lead a 40 Days for Life campaign in your community?

Applications to lead local campaigns will be accepted for only 6 more days — until next Tuesday, July 31 — so it’s time to pray, decide … and ACT!

Manager converts, clinic closes!

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

There are many reasons to bring 40 Days for Life to your city this fall, from September 26 – November 4.

You might see abortion workers have conversions and quit their jobs (which has already happened 69 times during 40 Days for Life campaigns).

You might see a local Planned Parenthood office — or other abortion business — close down for good (which has happened 23 times thus far).

Or, you might experience BOTH of these blessings!

Not long ago, Gerry Brundage nervously signed up to lead a local 40 Days for Life campaign in his community of Sherman, Texas. He wasn’t sure if people would join their vigil outside of the local Planned Parenthood, or if they would see any results … but Gerry stepped out in faith.

Little did he know that the manager of the Planned Parenthood office would have a conversion and quit her job … and that the local Planned Parenthood would go out of business as a result!

David Bereit, our national 40 Days for Life director, joined Gerry and his team for the rally outside the closed-down Planned Parenthood office … and they were joined by Ramona Trevino — the former clinic manager — who praised God for closing down her former workplace, and thanked the volunteers for loving her out of Planned Parenthood.

Highlights of this amazing event were caught on video!

As you watch the video, think about what it would be like for YOU to see local abortion industry workers experience conversions — and to see the local Planned Parenthood (or other abortion center) close down.

If you feel led to bring the proven life-saving results of 40 Days for Life to your community this fall, learn what’s involved and apply to conduct a local campaign by visiting:

Applications to lead local campaigns will be accepted for only 8 more days — until next Tuesday, July 31.

If you are nervous or feel reluctant about taking this step, just remember Gerry’s initial nervousness … and the amazing results of his 40 Days for Life campaign.

Looking forward to many more miracles!

Meet a baby saved during 40 Days for Life

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

Why bring 40 Days for Life to your city? To SAVE LIVES.

Today, I have a special treat for you.

Not long ago, our local campaign leader in a suburb of Los Angeles let us know that the abortion facility where she had conducted FIVE 40 Days for Life campaigns had closed down and gone out of business. Praise God!

She asked if David Bereit and I could fly out to join the rally outside the now-closed abortion center … and we were thrilled to be able to squeeze in a quick trip to L.A. to join the celebration.

Little did we realize that we’d get to meet one of the babies saved by their local 40 Days for Life, or that we’d be able to film a short video for you of the experience — including meeting this beautiful baby girl!

As you watch the video, think about what it will be like when YOU get to meet a child who is alive due to your faithful response to God’s call to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
