The stakes have NEVER been higher!

September 10th, 2008 by admin

Two weeks from today, 40 Days for Life kicks off all across America, and the tide is FINALLY turning in our favor.

Here’s what abortion advocate and former mayor of New York City, Ed Koch, had to say — just eight days ago — about what’s at stake this fall:

“I predict that the outcome of the presidential election will depend not on the economy, not on the Iraq war, not on the price of gasoline or the issue of national health insurance, but on the issue of the right to abortion.”

The abortion industry is shifting into panic mode.

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, said about pro-life developments of the last few weeks, “I’m still having trouble expressing the depth of my anger.”

Planned Parenthood is also now aware that more than 75 of its facilities will be the focus of 40 Days for Life campaigns this fall — and the abortion giant has already announced that it will be launching a campaign in an attempt to counter the impact of 40 Days for Life!

In a fundraising pitch to abortion advocates around the country, Richards said, “I recognize that everything for us is at stake.”

You know what? She is absolutely RIGHT.

As more than 170 cities across 45 states prepare to launch focused 40 Days for Life campaigns, abortion numbers are down nationwide and abortion is at the top of the news and in the forefront of the political debate…

…But there’s even more breaking news that is coming to light!

Numerous states are now on the verge of becoming abortion-free:

  • Abortion numbers have dropped so significantly that eight states are now down to only one or two remaining abortion centers
  • This fall, 40 Days for Life vigils will take place at the last remaining abortion centers in NORTH DAKOTA and MISSISSIPPI, states which each have only ONE remaining abortion facility
  • This fall, 40 Days for Life vigils will also be held outside the doors of the last two abortion facilities in NEBRASKA and the last two in KENTUCKY
  • In Nebraska, abortions are down 50 percent since their peak in 1990, according to a new report from the University of Nebraska.
  • Immediately following the 40 Days for Life campaigns held outside their doors this past spring, the Lincoln, Nebraska Planned Parenthood facility stopped performing abortions for eight consecutive weeks and the Council Bluffs, Iowa Planned Parenthood — which targets the metropolitan Omaha area — ceased abortions and has not resumed them for more than 22 weeks.

And here’s one more exciting development…

SOUTH DAKOTA, another state with only ONE remaining abortion facility — and the state that was able to temporarily halt abortions in July following the passage of its strong informed consent law — is right now in the midst of an effort to virtually ban abortion!

If passed, this would be the first law of its type that has a very real chance of overturning the unjust Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that imposed abortion on America in 1973.

Which will be the first abortion-free state in America?

Only God knows, but it sure is shaping up to be an amazing fall!

Blessings,

    David & freinds,
We look forward to 40daysforlife in joining us on the sidewalks surrounding our abortion mill in Granite City,Illinois where we have spent the last 15 years, 5 days a week peaceablly standing praying and offering “real hope” to abortion-bound mothers. Prayerfully being a witness outside deathcamps does make a difference We have seen over 2875 babies saved in the past 7 years from death and 27 have been adopted including our youngest daughter, one of 12 children. We adopted her this past winter. Many of the abortion mill workers have converted by this witness. That’s what is all about. Saving lives, rescuing babies one heart at a time.God will honor your prayers and faithfulness. Be encouraged~Angela Small Victories Director smallvictoriesusa.com

Heavenly Father: I thank you for the day you have made. I know you are all powerful and all knowing, and your mercy endures forever. Please help the 40 days for life group accomplish the goal of no abortions in the U.S. I also ask that you protect my family as we go through the valleys. Amen

My husband and myself keep prayers for life on a daily basis. We need to pray that our Lord will have mercy on this country, especially California the most liberal state, that he will spare us from leaders that will continue the slaughter of the unborn. These coming elections are critical. If this guy Obama wins, it wll be tragic for this country. Not keeping the life issue as a priority brings serious consequences everywhere else. We will pray fervently for the coming 40 Days for Life. God bless your efforts. maria quay

For all that you do and sacrifice in this fight for the unborn and their right to life…we need to double our prayers at this pivotal time in election history…please pray on these sidewalks and everywhere that the Good Lord will bless our country with a president who recognizes and appreciates the Sanctity of Life…all the rest will be figured out accordingly !
    Pray, Pray, Pray !
God love and keep all who read this and who pray for the precious unborn !

    Hello:
My name is Paulette from the Fort Worth Diocese. I’m participating in the “40 Days For Life” and yesterday as I was getting ready to pray outside the facility a young lady named Amy stopped to talk to me about why people were outside the abortion clinic in Fort Worth. It was quite hot, but people praying moved her so much she had to stop to ask questions. I answered her questions, gave her a couple of websites to check out; “Priests for Life” & “40 Days For Life”. She appreciated it and said she would check it out. Amy is in college and her teacher was assigning a debate on abortion. She felt she could not participate in the debate because she’s a mom herself and is pro-life. She believes the teachers plan was to have everyone consider both sides of the debate but pushing them toward accepting pro-choice as a good thing. Well Amy asked for info to share with her classmates on what abortion is really all about. Her plan was to gather info from the websites and inform the teacher and fellow students. She also said she would ask her classmates to come this Thursday to pray with all of us. Maybe the teacher will show up also. Amy and her fellow students are preparing in becoming nurses. I love how the Lord used me at just the right time yesterday.

    Praise the Lord!!!

    Paulette

As a Mother of four adopted children and a Grandmother Life is very precious to us! During the 40 days for life I have particapated in prayer daily and sacrifice in the small things. Just the other day as I was running errands about to run out of energy I stopped to get a cup of coffee. I said to myself “NO, I will offer this for a child.” just that simple.
I heard in my heart “God does not care if we drink that cup or not,What He cares for if we desire and offer He will send the Grace! I heard clear you have saved a little life!” Here in Lafayette we have no clinics Thank God. But we do have many good people who pray and are praying for all who are standing for us and those beautiful children. God bless and know we will continue the sacrifices and prayers. Denise
