Yet ANOTHER clinic CLOSED!
If you listened to the TIPPING POINT webcast and teleconference on Tuesday evening, you heard about the many AMAZING victories God provided in response to your prayers during 40 Days for Life.
Then Thursday, I asked you to pray about an abortion center in Michigan that is on the verge of closing — becoming the NINTH abortion facility to shut its doors forever following a 40 Days for Life campaign outside its doors.
Well, the prayer was answered — but not in the way I was expecting! It turns out the ninth abortion center closing has already been recorded — in Seattle, Washington.
“In Seattle our first and second 40 Days campaigns took place in front of the Planned Parenthood facility nearest the University of Washington,” said Aaron, who led those campaigns in Seattle.
During the second campaign, that center stopped doing surgical abortions. Planned Parenthood then put the facility up for rent — and now their web site confirms this location is permanently CLOSED!
“God is good,” said Aaron, “and He honors prayer!”
The abortion facility in Sacramento, California that was the site of a 40 Days for Life campaign this fall is also struggling right now.
The clinic manager and two other clinic employees were just laid-off by the clinic owner due to “dwindling finances” at the clinic.
“Their client numbers were dropping,” said Wynette, the 40 Days for Life leader in Sacramento, “so budget cuts had to be made.”

Wynette added, “The clinic manager did tell me that only three employees remain and that they are open for business, but that business is REALLY down.”
Members of the 40 Days for Life team have offered to assist the three former workers — knowing it isn’t easy to be without a job as Thanksgiving and Christmas are approaching. Wynette also says, “we continue to pray for conversion of hearts and minds, so that this employment layoff becomes a life-long detachment from the abortion industry.”
Those are just two more breaking news stories that show why it is so important for the work of 40 Days for Life to keep growing.
Here’s a short, inspiring audio recording of three more of this fall’s local 40 Days for Life campaigns sharing the blessings they experienced (including another abortion facility closing).

Let us all pray for an end to abortion.

May I say this in all good faith. Before we can get excited about closing abortion clinics, we must be prepared to handle all of the crisis pregnancies. Men’s hearts must be changed before laws can. If women are not using the abortion clinics, they might be doing the proverbial coat hanger abortion, where they use physically damaging methods. I agree that we must close the clinics, but the problem goes much deeper than that. Now we must prepare to prevent abortions not done by doctors or nurses, and done in dark alleys. If we treat every pregnant woman like the queen she is, and let there be no shame of being pregnant, then all the abortion clinics can just disappear and sink back into the dinosaur days. Again, I feel we must help women with crisis pregnancies especially. Let us get rid of the crisis, not the pregnancy.

Will you please send me the dates for 40 days for life in fall 2011?
Thank you!

It is truly amazing to see the results of all our combined prayers and sacrifices in this falls campaign. GOD does work in mysterious ways. Next, we must convince our congress persons to eliminate funding of our tax dollars for planned parenthood and other abortion facilities. Our founding fathers never intended for our country to make and support laws that are against the Ten Commandments. The mass killing of our country’s future citizens will have untold dangers for our country. As our nation’s elders die and leave this earth, who will there be to replace them? There can be no good end to defying GOD’S plans. We must convince the sexually active of the dangers of their actions. We are part of America, not individuals who’s actions do not affect anyone else. Look to the past, Rome was a powerful nation, but their wicked ways brought about their downfall. We can not have our cake and eat it too. We must teach our children when they are very young that the Ten Commandments are the best way to guide us.

Apparently the Reverend Doctor Victoria A. Howard is under the mistaken impression that the legalization of abortion and the clinics providing abortions don’t use physically damaging methods. This lie has been used too long to appeal to the compassion that well-meaning people have toward young women in crisis. The 37+ years of this horror have shown how false this is! The Pregnancy Center movement is growing and providing or referring for the services that these dear women need. I’ve been blessed to work as a nurse-sonographer in our local Pregnancy Resource Medical Clinic–what a joy!

I have to admit to being amazed, almost stunned at these wonderful reports of closures. It makes me want to see another 40 day program, if not against abortion, then have one for a return to the Lord Jesus, prayer in the public schools, even and perhaps especially for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
(King James Version)

In each campaign I have been involved a bit more deeply, and I think the comments above very accurately convey the future direction…
Provide programs that provide loving and caring for mother’s with crisis pregnancies…
Continue to lobby the federal goverment to provide care for these mothers and children and not fund the murder of our citizens….
Encourage the government to fund abortion alternatives (adoption, care centers, etc)….
Keep up our silent prayer vigils for the lives of the children, the mothers, and the abortion industry workers…
Never give up hope in God’s ultimate love for us all and His plan for our salvation….sinners and saints alike!
Praise His holy name!

Here is a thought to pray about. God keeps bringing to mind the thought: What if a big group of us Christians pooled enough money to buy some of the abortion clinics up for sale, demolish it themand put in their place memorials for the babies that lost their lives and a place for families who have been affected by abortion to come and grieve. If even one of these clinics were purchased, I wonder how many babies would be saved each week? Can we put a price on lives saved and healing that God can bring? Something to think and pray about. I know there is at least one for sale here in metro Detroit. With God all things are possible. Make each day count!
God’s blessings,
Jessica
