Thought you would want to hear the wonderful news …
Shawn Carney — who just led the spring 40 Days for Life campaign across 247 cities — and his wife Marilisa are now the proud parents of Bernadette Lisa Carney!
Bernadette was born yesterday at 5:01 AM, weighing 6.9 pounds and measuring 18.5 inches.

Congratulations, she’s a doll! Sure brings back memories – and an awareness of how the time flies. At this age, she’ll change every day, so take lots of pics & videos. Take a long video of her nursery while she’s sleeping there – that room will change and you’ll forget how it looked. Read Dobson’s new book, “Bringing Up Girls” – first class stuff. I tell my daughters, now 22 & 25, “It was just yesterday I cut your umbilical cord….” and that’s about how fast it goes. God bless you all.

It just amazes me how this blanket company has the corner on the market. When my grandaughter was born in SC 2 yrs ago, she had the same blanket. I had a grandson born just 4 weeks ago in IN and he had the same blanket. lol

Dear Shawn and Marilisa, Congratulations on your new addition and I must say I love her name. My husband tried to get our daughters to name one of their girls after me but none complied. I have always really loved my name and I was fortunate to travel to Lourdes, France to the place where Our Blessed Mother appeared to St. Bernadette. We also went to Nevere, France where St. Bernadette entered the cloistered convent. They have her body fully intact in the convent chapel encased in a glass casket. Maybe some day when your Bernadette is old enough to understand, you can take her there. I will always keep you and your little girl in my prayers.

Congratulations, nice to see who Abby was talking about. God bless all of you nd how can anyone destroy something that will be become such a wonderful blessing in our lives. Below is a poem I wrote, sadly I didn’t say “From the moment you realize you will become a parent” and that was because I didn’t want to hurt someone who was adopting, but the words would have fit anyway. Sometimes when we worry about hurting someone we can use the wrong words that can be taken in a different way than we mean them. God bless all who realize they become parents as soon as that baby is conceived or they get the “Yes” regarding adoption.
YOUR CHILD
From the moment you become a parent
there are so many things you think about.
You become so excited you want to laugh;
you want to cry; you want to shout.
You want to tell everyone you know
so they can share your joy.
Makes no difference if your child
is a girl or a boy.
What will your child look like,
what will your child become?
How do you teach your child
to love and respect everyone?
How do you teach your child
the difference between right and wrong?
When you know how important it is
for your child to belong.
You know you can’t keep your child

Never be ashamed to admit
to any mistakes you made

My wife and I became grandparents a little over a year ago and now we are “expecting” the second grandchild. I follow the progress of the baby as the pregnancy goes on. Monitoring the development of the baby in the womb, I came to realize that this is a true miracle. How one cell can divide and divide and each cell then has a function to perform and one develops as a perfect leg and another as a heart and so on. This defies all reason and must be a miracle from GOD. Congratulations on your miracle. May she bless your lives even further. And thank you for all of your work with 40 days for life.

Babies are God’s gift to us, how precious your new little one is. I m a chaplain at the county jail and I recently talked with a young woman who is 8 momths pregnant and happy, even though when she delivers she and baby will go to a rehab center. She is grateful for the opportunity and said it would never have happened unless God took control. I praised her for carrying her baby to term and saw the joy in her face.

If only all pregnant women could see this picture of a beautiful baby and get to hold a new born before having an abortion, I doubt that the industry of murder would continue. I have had 4 babies, 5 grandchildren and if I weren’t so old(79) I would take in these babies that no one wants. It breaks my heart to think about all the babies that are aborted each day. Please God remove this curse from our world.

I just finished unplanned by Abby Johnson. I have prayed for years for our country and our world for the right to life. I was deeply touched by the sacrifice you and your family made for Abby’s conversion. It showed the power of prayer. Now God has further blessed you and Marilisa with a bundle from heaven. You might take a few minutes and write a letter to your daughter about the miracle of her birth and give her the letter to read on her 12th birthday. My grandson was saved from abortion due to Abby’s book. UNfortunately he will be placed for adoption, but he will live!
His birth date should be around August 13th.
And I just thought of all the little babies being born this summer and fall due to her book and 40 days for life!

I am a pro-life parishoner at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Riverside, California. I have 4 children of my own. I want to thank you for the work you do in the pro-life movement. It will not go unrewarded by the LORD of this I am sure. I want to thank you for doing what some of us older ones cannot do. I am a 57 year old grandmother with 21 grandchildren too, which includes 2 foster grandchildren, and 3 adopted grandchildren and 3 babies in heaven. Your baby is adorable. Congratulations on such a beautiful bundle of joy. Please love her all the days of your life and love the the LORD with all your heart. I’m sure you will. You are a very handsome Daddy I might add too. Congrats to your wife as well. Shine for JESUS.

I am from South Louisiana and we have a little legend that says that the little dent we are born with–you know, the one between the nose and the lips–was put there by the angels before we leave heaven. They put their finger to their lips and say, “Shhhh…” Then they put their finger on the baby’s lips to make the dent to remind them of the secrets of heaven, but tell them not to tell…just yet…So we are all born knowing the secrets of heaven, but are not allowed to tell…
