VIDEO: ANOTHER Planned Parenthood leader converts
Last week I shared the great news about a Planned Parenthood facility in Sherman, Texas, closing after the first local 40 Days for Life was held outside its doors.
The closure was a direct result of the conversion and resignation of the manager of the facility (for which she credits 40 Days for Life) — and the 40 Days for Life prayer presence outside that reduced the organization’s customer traffic.
The abortion organization even admitted to media outlets that the closure was due to “lack of business.” (It also helped when the Texas legislature voted to strip Planned Parenthood of $34+ MILLION in taxpayer funding so it couldn’t rebound from the lack of business.)
On Sunday, 40 Days for Life national director David Bereit was in Sherman for the celebration rally outside the closed Planned Parenthood office in 111-degree heat — and was joined by the center’s former manager, Ramona Trevino, who spoke to the 40 Days for Life participants.
Her talk was AMAZING, and media outlets from the Houston Chronicle to the Dallas Observer have since been buzzing with the news!

Often we feel like our prayers are doing little, but your testimony is an encouragement to us to keep on praying and expect great things from God. It is no small thing for you to speak out while others would seek to silence you, but God is greater than anything they can do. What a woman of courage you are! As the Lord says in Joshua, do not be afraid, He is with you. PP likes to use scare tactics, and as more PP workers leave and talk about what really goes on inside the clinics, they ARE afraid, and rightly so. Because, as Abby Johnson says, the weak link in their armor is that workers are leaving and talking about it! This gets media attention they fear, and their spin does not work when the people who were running the facilities speak out in person.
Hang in there. God is doing a mighty work in you now and He will be faithful to complete it! We are all praising Him for you and praying for you as well!

You took a leap into God’s arms when you left the Planned Parenthood clinic. Now you will have many, many opportunities to help other women and men in their struggles with regard to life issues. God always takes a bad situation and uses it to promote good. He took your life away from everything that PP stands for and is now using it to teach others what is most important. . .life. Ramona, I just watched the video made outside the closed Planned Parenthood office in Sherman. You go girl! Your courage and rediscovered faith are an inspiration to all of us. I’ve been a prayer warrior outside a facility in Austin for several years now. Our presence has been felt. The facility has put up shrubs, hired escorts and called police in an attempt to remove us. We’re there, rain or shine, cold or hot-many 100°+ days, we’re outside praying for babies, mothers and staff. I pray that we experience a conversion like yours! Keep up the faith, we’re praying for you.

I was so touched by Ramona’s testimony. I have been praying in front of a hospital and have friends who also pray at a Planned Parenthood which does not do abortions, and sometimes we might wonder whether anyone is even paying any attention, besides the drivers and passersby who see us and read our signs. Ramona confirms that our time there is indeed important, if even one person in that hospital has a change of heart, our prayers to our great and loving God are never wasted.

Ramona, You are one courageous woman!! Please persevere no matter what. A friend of mine recently attended a Rachael’s Vineyard retreat to heal 25yrs post abortion. She has experienced so much healing and freedom!! Ideally, this would not be a part of her story but God always redeems and loves us in the midst of our every minute. I pray in front of an abortion mill in Southern Illinois every week, and it is a little discourging (sometimes) wondering if prayer is getting us anywhere. I know it is, but it still seems like a lot of time passes between bright spots.

Got to meet a few of you this past Sunday and just watched the Sherman video, which was really well done. This morning here at the Pregnancy Care Center, a young woman walked in to make an appointment for pgt… she said, “I’m glad I found you on-line. I called Sherman and Gainesville Planned Parenthood for an appointment. Did you know they are closed?” Susan, our receptionist, said, “Yes, we understand they did close those offices. We are glad you found our Center.” So thanks 40 Days For Life. Your vigil continues to bless our area.

When God called, you said, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” What a great example you are to your daughter. You have a wonderful message for all of us, that we need to pray with persistance. He does hear our prayer and sometimes He answers beyond our wildest imagination. It is so encouraging to those of us who have been in this battle for so long. The children of Isarel had to wander in the desert for 40 years until a whole generation had passed on who had been tainted by the false idols in Egypt. Next year will be 40 years since abortion was legalized. My prayer is that we have suffered enough to atone for the sins of the radical feminists in the 60’s. Our young people are more and more pro-life. Next year – maybe it will end. Praise the Lord!

I’m very proud of you, it takes people like you to one day overturn Roe vs Wade. I truly believe one day ABORTION will be illegal. It may take another year because that will be the 40th year of the Roe vs Wade decision. You know Christ lived in the desert for 40 days before He started His public ministry. Keep your eye on the Lord, and He will take care of the rest. PPAF can rage, but it CANNOT prevail (Psa. 2:1). We are praying that you remain steadfast against the fiery darts of the enemy (Eph. 6:16). And may God bless you mightily.

A couple of weeks ago, I was told me about a man who works at a PP who wanted to leave. He said there are more, but like him, they need the job.
That is what held back Ramona too. With prayer tugging at her heart, as she says, she finally stepped out to the sidewalk. This man did the same. It took three months for Ramona to finalize her decision, so let’s pray for this man too, that by the end of 40 Days in November, he will have stepped out of the valley of the shadow of death for good. And may he bring his friends!

My first 40-Days for Life was 2007 with the first here in San Antonio. I pray nearly every Saturday at the sidewalk and feel blessed to witness to those without a voice who are brutally murdered in the name of money and convenience.

Just today someone sent me an article which was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry that is entitled “Largest ever study finds abortion increases risk of severe mental health problems by 81%.” The study “was based on an analysis of 22 separate studies and 36 measures of effect, that involved a total of 877,181 participants of whom 163,831 had experienced an abortion.”
The only way that Planned Parenthood and the pro-Choice community can succeed is by intimidation and silence. I had an abortion 38 years ago and there is not a holiday that goes by in which I don’t remember that child who is not a part of my family. Abortion hurts women. Period.
Thank you for your brave decision to walk away. PP will try to intimidate you, but you have found true friends in the Pro-Life community who will walk with you every step of the way.
God Bless you and your precious family — as this surely affects them as well. Your witness of following God in spite of your fears will be a living testimony to the glory of God!

Wonderful and inspiring testimony. I have prayed for Ramona that her job needs will be taken care of and that she will have an even better salary than before. Thank you Ramona, we have a PP facility in our town that does only referrals, You give us hope. Sometimes it seems impossible to shut them down. I pray for those who do these referrals for abortion and know the day will come when they will no longer send Mothers to kill their babies.

Congratulations on your courageous step. When you are under attack, pray to St Michael, he has been fighting Satan for billions of years, and is better at it than anyone I know. He sure helped me. Ramona, my dad is in a care facility behind the Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs that performs abortions. They moved it to the back of private property so we could not speak with, or pray with, the people going in. When I go to see my dad, I stop my car and pray a hedge of protection over the front door, that He will stop women and couples going in and pierce their hearts. Then I pray for the person working inside the building that God is working on right now. I don’t know who he or she is, but I know that God knows. I have been praying that God will open their eyes and heart, and turn them from this job. Seeing your testimony gives me strength to continue my prayers for the unknown person, and the people who walk through the front door. Bless you!

Dear Ramona, As I write this I’m crying tears of joy for you and your family. Thank you so much for your courage of conversion, God is so good and you are a great gift to humanity. I don’t go to the clinics physically but every Saturday afternoon I spend two hours in Eucharistic Adoration and pray for the unborn and their mothers, fathers, siblings, etc., and for an end to the culture of death. God is on our side, how can we lose? You are one of the best examples of that. God loves you infinitely, and we love you. He has wonderful things planned for you! The best is yet to come!!

I thought I was an atheist–I used to believe women had the right to an abortion but never considered the rights of the unborn.
I thought I was an atheist–oh, how intelligent to have Darwinism rule your intellect, but how cold one’s life can be without God.
I felt your emotions and your renewed understanding about God, the Father, and listening to you brought a tear to my eyes, and something changed in me. I always knew abortion was wrong–even as an atheist, because even atheists are as moral as believers (believers often don’t believe that but it’s true).
I thought I was an atheist until I saw this video, and saw you.

Ramona, you have such courage and faith. God allows us at times to walk on our journeys – often far from him – as I did for many years. But when we turn back to Him with all our hearts, He does such powerful work in our lives and uses our past to make us compassionate for others who have walked in the same ways. I am post-abortive and it took me two abortions, over 25 years, God’s tender mercy, the healing I found through Rachels Vineyard and the wonderful pro-life ministry of 40 days for life in my area to finally turn that around and reach out to help other women so they would not make those same mistakes. You are going to be – indeed, already are – such a powerful voice for life. You did a courageous thing. Not only from a spiritual level but also from a physical plane when you rejected the monetary inducements to work for Planned Parenthood, even though you could have assuaged your conscience by believing that you were not directly involved in the taking of innocent human life.
Twice a month we pray and picket out side of a Planned Parenthood facility in my home town Norristown, PA. We know that a doctor comes on certain days to administer abortifacients. Hopefully with God’s help, we can have a positive result as you caused in Texas.

Hi Ramona! Thank you for your courage and faith! I know it takes much courage to take that Leap of Faith to leave your employment. God was tugging at your heart and has better, MUCH BETTER planned for you and your family. I had an abortion when I was 19 years old and have lived with regret every day since then. I left my full time employment (half of our family income) after I felt that tugging on my heart and was told by the holy spirit to take that leap of faith like you just did. Now I’m self employed with Mary Kay as a Sales Director and completely replaced my income and the best part is that God can use me to make a difference in mentoring other women. God has a great plan for you too.

My family and I are experiencing a catastrophic year with four major illnesses one ending in death, but I have never felt alone and each day I was given the grace to handle everything that would come at me.
Jesus will give you all that you need through any difficulty you may face and he will give you supernatural love to help others step into the light, His light.

God has truly been glorified in the diligent, courageous witness that has taken place in Sherman, Texas! This is definitely a bright shining example of hope in the midst of the storm. So often we wonder if we’re making a difference by being outside of abortion clinics to pray for the men and women who are inside. I never cease to be amazed by the miracles God brings about through those who are open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

When I stood outside the Kalispell MT facility during the cold and snow and wondered if it would ever close,I remember praying for those who would come and go into the building-staff, clients, cleaners, etc. The Planned Parenthood office did finally close. God has moved me to another part of the country now and your words of praise and glory to God remind me that yes, all things are possible with God. Thank you for your testimony. Dear Ramona,
I was reading some beautiful spiritual literature from the spiritual director of St. Therese that made me think of you. God loves us all, sinners though we are. His forgiveness is everlasting.
Reflecting on the story of St. Peter and Jesus asking him, “Do you love me?”, Fr. Pichon talks about what is in Christ’s heart. He says:
“St. Peter would truly have been wounded had Jesus never made any allusion to his sin. Adorable penance! ‘Peter, you have sinned against Me. Tell me that you love Me! Peter, you denied Me even unto the third time. Make me a a triple protestation of your love. Make reparation to Me from your heart.’ Our Lord did not condemn Peter to tremble in fear for the remainder of his life. He did not keep him prostrate before Himself in diffidence, in fear.
‘Peter,’ He said in effect, ‘now you understand My Heart. I restore to you all your former privileges. I confide to you My lambs, My sheep. I grant you all your former familiarities with Me. I bestow upon you even more. Because I have pardoned you so very much, I have greater rights to your love, to your gratitude. He to whom much is forgiven, loves much.
‘You have sinned against Me, oh friend of Mine, you have sinned greatly; then love Me greatly. You have sinned against Me more than all the others; then love Me more than all the others. Yes, I not only permit it; I direct you to do so. Rise from your sins and show to souls innocent of sin how you will surpass them in love.’”
In case the evil one should ever tempt you to despair, should ever try to convince you that you should be condemned, remember our Lord’s Sacred Heart, His infinite love and mercy, and how he healed and forgave and loved St. Peter. He bears for you the same love. Cherish it always. I and mine will be praying for you.

Yet, I know that decision could have REAL financial consequences in their lives, and the lives of their family. My prayer is that our Great God will supply you with your every need since you are sacrificing so much for his kingdom. I work at a pregnancy center and often meet with girls who have been encouraged by the PPH in our area to abort . Sometimes they are even given financial aide to have the abortion. I am encouraged by your testimony that the harrisburg, Pa PPH and abortion clinic can close too. Please pray for us!

I want to share a reading from: “Living with Christ.us” for 9/1/11: “They had ‘worked hard all night and…caught nothing.’ But the next moment the boat was full of fish! It’s a spectacular contrast between emptiness and fullness. These opposites are not enemies. We have to be empty if we are to receive.
“What freedom would be ours if we could sit down sometimes with our emptiness (empty feelings especially) and see it not as something to be avoided at all costs, but as a purification and a clearing of space for something new to be born! We will never come to anything new if we are afraid of emptiness.”
You have showed us how to receive. As Jesus told Simon, ‘Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”
The majesty and the power of the Creator, the love and compassion of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the wisdom and grace of the Holy Spirit are with you now and forever.

Ramona, I cried with happiness at your brave decision. You will have treasures in heaven for your faithfullness. I pray that God would keep your family strong. Romans 12 :21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” I live far away from Texas but I know that we will be rejoicing together one day in heaven. I spent 20+years in the US Army, sometimes I can’t understand why I participated in so much violence against another human being, it brings me a lot of sleepless nights. To “redeem myself”, I advocate the right to life, give every child a chance. My faith was not a factor in my conversion, I did what I thought was simply right, you did what what you thought was right, don’t worry about those sleepless nights.

What a gift you have given your own family, your DAUGHTER, in your witness!
My own parents underwent much conversion from about the time I was 6-12 years old, totally changing the family’s “m.o.” so to speak, and what a gift they gave me and my sister in their hard choices! My dad also lost his job twice in that time, but God always, ALWAYS provided. (In one instance replacing a car by donation when we needed one!)
One single choice can set off a domino-chain of grace in your own life and the lives of others.

We have had success with laws for euthanasia and same sex marriage being out voted in our state and federal parliaments Praise God. There are still 90000 abortions done in Australia each year. In newcastle where I live there is a Marie stopes abortion clinic. It hAs been on my heart to see this clinic closed. I am very encouraged as to what god has done through you and 40 days for life. Could you pray for me and our group of doctors/ intercessors who will meet on October 29 to pray about the oxide of this abortion clinic. Thanks and god bless and protect you. Peter Coleman

Your testimony was an encouragement to me to never give up praying. God does answer our prayers, but we need to be persistent and faithful to not give up.
May God bless you as you continue to speak up for women who are the victims of fear when they face a crisis pregnancy. Planned Parenthood pretends to care about women, but the help they offer hurts women and takes the life of an innocent child. They are paid, and move on to the next poor soul, but the woman bears the awful consequences for the rest of her life.
You are brave, and your witness will bear fruit. I pray that many others will follow your example, and really think about what they are doing and leave PP forever.
I have been praying for many years for the conversion of workers at PP. You and Abby Johnson are the faces of answered prayer.

At church this morning I stopped by the 40 days for life table set up in our gathering space after mass. There were 2 names signed up to participate in 40 days for life. That’s all. I felt moved and like you said “a tugging in my heart” to sign up and do something, and so I did. It’s something I really want to do, but am a bit nervous because the neighborhood we will be praying in is a very bad neighborhood. They say it’s not dangerous, but I work in that neighborhood on a maternity unit at the hospital just a few streets away and I know how dangerous it can be. This is the only thing that gives me second thoughts about going to the neighborhood to do the 40days for life. I came across the video of your story and was so touched. Your story gave me the encouragement and motivation I need to just do it! To know that God will watch over and protect and through God anything and everything is possible. After hearing what you had to say, I will be there praying during the 40 days for life. God bless you!!

Dear Ramona,
Thank you for responding to the call of the Holy Spirit in your life and for having the fortitude to speak out against abortion. I pray that you will continue to respond to God’s call and that you will soon be blessed with a job that you find meaningful and fulfilling. You are an inspiration to me and to others who are praying for an end to abortion. Keep the faith and may God bless you.

Precious sister, I admire your courage. God will make a way where there seems no way as He pays bills, provides super natural strength and ability when we rely on Him. I was a single mom for 12 years and also for today as I’m married 12 years He is faithful. He will always take joy in being your/our Father and loving you/us His children. I was going to take a year off 40 days but I am inspired to persevere because of your testimony. Thank you, God answers prayer!

You and your family will be in my prayers. I greatly admire your courage and you are such an inspiration to me! Thank you for taking that step of faith even though it was difficult. Stay strong in the Lord and don’t be discouraged by those who want to stifle your message.

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…” Jeremiah 29:11 He has wonderful plans for your future, Ramona, I pray you will seek refuge in the shadow of the wings of the Almighty, He will protect you….Psalm 91. Everywhere I look lately I’m seeing courage being demonstrated, yours is another amazing example of that. Just know that you are making a difference for good in countless lives. I’m convinced even greater than any of us will ever realize. Thank you Lord!

Ramona, Thanks for a smile today when most of my Friday mornings can be a bit of a downer. I have been sidewalk counseling outside a Sarasota, Florida clinic for many years now and trying to talk to the workers there for a long time. Especially one who looks like she absolutely hates coming to work there and has a child of her own. God amazes me so much each time a girl after counseling decides against abortion. His timing is so perfect and it was so nice to see his hand in your life as well. I too lost my job in early May right after Mother’s Day but God has been so good to give me an even better one and I will be praying He does the same for you. Many blessings!

I admire your willingness to humble yourself in the midst of your fear and ask for help. I am motivated to continue in prayer for all workers in the abortion industry. Thank you so much for sharing your story. 1 Corinthians 15: 8 says, “Be ye steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain, in the Lord.”

What an amazing faith! To God be the glory, what great things He has done! Ramona, by “taking up the cross daily”, we are all so blessed. I love God’s sense of humor! My “job” is working @ a BabiesRUs. My volunteer hours are spent @ a pregnancy counseling center where God allows me to touch many lives for Him! Love your sacrificial heart!!
