DAY 37: Three more workers quit!
Just four days left in this campaign! I have HUGE news today, but I must keep some details confidential.
THREE MORE abortion workers have QUIT THEIR JOBS! That makes a total of EIGHT during this campaign … and a total of 69 who’ve left the abortion industry during 40 Days for Life campaigns since 2007!
Please keep these three people in your prayers as they seek new employment and go through this transition in their lives.
I also have good news from Virginia and some quick stories of babies saved (including another set of twins). Here are the reports from the front lines:
——————————————————
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA
——————————————————

The Planned Parenthood abortion center in Virginia Beach — where a 40 Days for Life vigil is in progress outside — has cut its business hours. They’re now open four fewer hours each week.
“Does this mean they are struggling financially?” asked Marcia in Virginia Beach. “I do not have an answer, but obviously they are not flourishing if they are cutting back hours.”

Since this new location opened, abortions had been scheduled on Tuesday mornings. But now they don’t open til noon on Tuesdays. At first, it was believed that abortions would just be scheduled later in the day. But not so! They did no abortions Tuesday of last week.
“This means one third of their usual abortion business did not happen last week,” said Marcia. She checked with someone who monitors all of the abortion centers in the area, and abortion numbers were down everywhere.
“Is this the fruit of prayer and fasting?” Marcia asked. “I believe that it is. Let’s go for a strong finish!”

——————————————————
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
——————————————————
“There have been five more babies saved from abortion in Charlotte since we last reported,” said Andrea. “That makes a total of 46 for this campaign!”
——————————————————
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA
——————————————————
“Over the past week in Pensacola, those praying in front of Pensacola’s last remaining abortion facility witnessed five mothers choose life,” Ernie reported. “Praise God for these blessings!”
——————————————————
MONTCLAIR, NEW JERSEY
——————————————————
“Five babies were saved last week in Montclair,” Christine wrote, “bringing the 40 Days for Life campaign total to date up to 16!”
——————————————————
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN
——————————————————
“I just learned about three more turnarounds at the Southfield 40 Days for Life site,” said Mike. “One of them was a set of twins. Praise the Lord!”
——————————————————
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
——————————————————
“Another mom carrying twins chose life for her baby on Saturday,” said Jenny, “so two more from Louisville! God is so good!”
Here’s the link to today’s devotional.

Reno has another save to report! Cyndy had the opportunity to talk with a Spanish speaking couple at the sidewalk. The wife had been told that she needed an abortion because she and the child could die if she continued the pregnancy. Cyndy gave them our resource list and Thank God, they used it. Because it sounded like they were dealing with a potentially life threatening situation, they were referred to the ER. The following day, rather than returning to the abortion site, they visited the local pregnancy center for life affirming help. Praise God!

Last Wednesday, a man pulled up next to us and hurried into the Family Planning Associates with his car parked in a non-parking spot. 15 minutes later, he came out with a distraught woman and I asked, may we pray for you? He said, “Pray for our family because she’s not having this abortion.” He told us he had found her note with the location and time of her appointment and hurried over. At the front desk they had told him it was too late, she was in the back and he couldn’t see her. Just then, a door opened and he was able to see her just coming out of a room with her surgical gown on. He beckoned her to come out and she did. Praise God for His miraculous timing and rescue of this precious woman and child by a man who asked for prayer.
There were two other rescues that same day bringing Downey’s total to 19 saved babies. We are praising our wonderful God for these victories.

Good morning, Pro-Lifers! This is the day the Lord hath made and we will rejoice in it! :) Yesterday, our small but mighty group meet at the Newton, IA planned parenthood, on day 36 of 40 Days for Life. It was a scheduled day to be open, but praise God they were closed! There was one lady who came out, saying she was only the cleaning lady, we told her we would pray she would be able to get another job, she agreed, saying, “Good, and one that pays better!” We are encouraged that they are on limited hours: especially since the Knoxville, IA telemed abortion facility closed March 1st, and they supposedly joined forces. Even though our numbers are few, we serve a BIG God! To God be the Glory! :) HEART OF IOWA PRO-LIFE

Here is a Story shared by one of our Prayer Warriors in Chico:
I was out on the sidewalk with Tim , each of us praying separately. After my Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Julie showed up and asked me to sit in her car and pray with her because she is coming down with something…. So shortly after, I moved across the street into her car for my last 15 minutes:
We saw a lady walk up to Tim and she had what looked like 3 coffees in a carrier. Tim pointed to us in the car across the street. Julie and I thought, “Does she work at PP and is telling him to ‘get off the grass?” She then got in her car that was parked in the Planned Parenthood parking lot, and drove across the street and parked behind us. She came up to Julie’s car window and offered us coffees. She said that she drives by here every day, and she just wanted to say “THANK YOU” to all of us for being a witness.
She said she was the product of an illegitimate relationship, and her mom had planned to abort her, but got the flu and had to wait, and then was too far along to be able to abort because she was past 6 months. She was all teared up as she told her story! She was a beautiful woman!!
Of course, I wanted to ask fifty million questions… but I asked her if she had any kids of her own, and she said, one boy and one girl. Blessings to them!!
Please pray for her, she was such a powerful witness to us today!

Such good news! God wills that no man should perish, but to turn to Him and live! Deo Gratius!
My prayer for you is May the Holy Spirit be upon you, your hearts & lips like the dew fall. May all these expectant mothers give birth to the babies God has destined for them and workers of PP be touched by the Love & Mercy of Jesus Christ. Amen

The 40 Days for Life Campaign has had AMAZING effects ! The Omnipotent power of God has revealed itself. The true stories have been both heartwarming & heartwrenching. I’m conflicted about Planned Parenthood because they, also, offer family planning services which help alleviate or, even, extinguish the need for any abortions. I LOVE babies & children; they are so new from Heaven & life begins at conception no matter what some people believe or WANT to believe. How can a person MURDER their child? It’s incomprehensible.

Planned Parenthood in Chester County kills children only on Tuesdays. The Ru-486 pill is given out and then the surgical abortions begin. The abortionist has to come from New Jersey.
One of our sidewalk counselors brought daffodils to the clinic as that flower represents new life and was giving them out with the crisis pregnancy material.
Through conversation with the sidewalk counselors and one of the girls who was debating going through with her abortion, the girl said she already had two abortions and it was the worst thing she has ever done or gone through and she did not really want to do it again. She left Planned Parenthood with her baby and a daffodil to celebrate her choice for life for her child. Women decide abortion because they are afraid of being rejected and unloved by family and friends. 40 Days gives them hope and acceptance that life is good and so are they.

My fifth grade twins, were recently taught in their Catholic school about abortion. Their wonderful teacher did it with grace and compassion. and Our school had the children ages 5th-8th grade write essays about the subject. This sad reality really struck a cord in my son Nicholas’ heart and we have numerous conversations about it and this lent have prayed together as a family about the sadness of abortion. We have followed your email updates from 40 Days for Life and it has brought hope to the children that there is much we can do to change the tide. I hope you enjoy that this next generation sees the sadness in abortion yet has hope that we can make a change. Blessings to everyone involved in this cause.

My sis in law and I just got back from our last 2 hours, actually more today, in front of Planned Parenthood in SLC Ut. My daughter has also been with us before. Non of us are counselors but we do say hello to anyone going in….and pray pray pray. We’re not a large group (some from Salt Lake area, and our parish group is from Ogden/Brigham city about an hour to 1/12 hours away) and many days in the past it’s been so cold it’ll freeze your teeth but we’ve been luck this spring. This is an unusual site because the building also houses a couple of dentists and another Dr. The PP is to the left and downstairs so we can see through the glass front door where a person is heading to. We’ve heard that abortions are scheduled on Thurs. but cars mostly go in to the back parking lot so I usually stand right where they go by with my “We All Start Small” sign and holding a baby model in my hand. We’ve never had a confrontation just a few negative comments now and then from cars going by and even smiles as some walk by. We praise God if we’ve had any effect on anyone but we’ve never known it. The police did come by 2 weeks ago and said they were told that some cars were parked where the building may get deliveries….they are old driveways that end at the sidewalk and I’ve never seen deliveries done there so we’re ruffling some feathers. The cars were moved and the police were very nice and advised us not to pray in a huddle as that looks as if we’re plotting something, he said with a smile. So, we try and pray in a line as suggested. That’s it, that’s all we’ve had happen AS FAR AS WE KNOW but we’ll be back in the fall and some of us may take up our vigil at another site, where abortions are done, on a Sat. where our loyal and steadfast leader, James, has been keeping vigil for years….on his own. Before 40 Days came along we joined him as often as possible and have even had a person or two stop and join us.
At our parish I’ve put a sign by our Adoration Hours sign-in to pray for all involved so I’m sure those prayers have not been in vain.
BTW…it’s a great place to meet like minded people from other parishes and churches. A mormon lady meets us there sometimes and she is a dear and very committed to life. I’m trying to get other faiths involved from the Pregnancy Care Centers too while I promote their Walk for Life. If we can just change hearts of people who will change other hearts who will continue that on and on…lives will be saved, laws will changed to protect the unborn lives and mothers (natural or adoptive) will hold their babies with joy as I have.

I’m encouraged, blessed, and thankful for these stories. God bless all of you who are stepping out in faith to defend those who can’t defend themselves!

Glad I went today to the Sacramento 40 days for life where we met 3 kind volunteers. We had not officially signed up but had been wanting to stop by & pray since the fall 40 days for life campaign. Even though I only got to stand & pray for a few minutes I do hope my prayers impacted someones life whether its a mom healing from abortion or a mom that chose life for her baby. Next fall I hope to go back to pray, my mom & I are particularly touched by Down Syndrome as my sister has it. Nearly 90% of babies diagnosed prenatally are aborted sadly. So I will continue to pray for those who have that diagnosed prenatally to choose life & that doctors & genecists will stop handing out wrong information. We had a friend of a friend who almost aborted her child with Down Syndrome, thankfully God intervened & led us to be at a birthday party of the friend who we both knew & partly cause she saw how we treated my sister like a normal person & he also led her to the local pregnancy center we volunteer at. Praise God she changed her mind! I am so blessed to know her little girl & can’t imagine how life would be without her in this world!

“I take no pleasure in the death of the evil-doer, says the Lord, but rather that he should turn back to me and live”
Praise Our God and Saviour for saving us from our sins, abortion workers, mothers contemplating abortion, families, counsellors. God saves! God rules! He delights in us when we turn to him and strengthens us.
I will pray for these workers and mothers rescued from the clutches of evil.
