Fox News, USA Today abuzz over 40 Days for Life
Before I give you an update on the progress toward the matching challenge, have you seen the news?
The media is buzzing with coverage about 40 Days for Life after it was discovered that a Planned Parenthood affiliate is now conducting its own knock-off 40-day prayer campaign …
… but instead of praying for life, Planned Parenthood calls for 40 days of prayer … for ABORTION.
Some say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but we’re not flattered when America’s largest abortion chain “prays” for the destruction of innocent children — while raking in over $487 MILLION in tax dollars each year to fund its deadly operation.
Here are just a few of Planned Parenthood’s “prayer intentions”:
- Day 18: “Today we pray for all the staff at abortion clinics around the nation. May they be daily confirmed in the sacred care that they offer women.”
- Day 28: “Today we pray for the women who travel hundreds of miles to get an abortion. May their determination be rewarded with spiritual strength.”
- Day 34: “Today we give thanks for abortion escorts who guide women safely through the hostile gauntlets of protesters.”
TODAY is Day 40 of Planned Parenthood’s campaign.
Here’s what they want abortion advocates to “pray” for:
- “Today we give thanks and celebrate that abortion is still safe and legal.”
Appalling … but there is a silver lining.
While Planned Parenthood might have intended this as a campaign to mock you — and all people of faith who recognize the God-given dignity of every human life — it has backfired, giving 40 Days for Life a massive publicity boost in more than 400 media outlets over the last few days.
Just one example — the video above featuring the latest Fox News report about the controversy, which cites the many accomplishments of 40 Days for Life and features an interview with our friend, Marjorie Dannenfelser of the Susan B. Anthony List.
Here’s the bottom line: your efforts on behalf of God’s innocent children are being noticed — even by the secular media!

Oh my!! The devil is mocker. But this is so insane!
How the CEO of that PP office can put on the same phrase: “human life is holy” and “right to choose abortion”??
But the part I actually love is the anchor quoting the numbers achieved by 40 days for life! Then I want to say: YES!!! God is almighty and powerful and He will triumph. We all know that!

I watched the woman clergy member talk about being “mindful” while looking like her mind was elsewhere as she talked. Her conscience must be severely compromised to advocate praying for parents who do not wish to be parents.
Has she ever studied the words of Genesis? Has she ever contemplated what would happen if God, our Father, decided not to parent us? Perhaps, in direct contradiction to the words of the Creator, “Be fruitful and multiply.”this clergy member feels it her duty to undo what the Creator has done.
To follow her, or follow her lead, is to be led by a blinded shepherd.

We just have to keep praying and asking God to close the doors of PP-hood. I sent some emails to my friends, telling them about the update on the webinar the other night, and asking them to support 40Days with their donations. So far, five have replied. I’m delighted!!

Yes we must be making a difference .I do think we need to pray the devil back to hell. I found a book written in 1939 by Samuel Saloman and Dan Gilbert, LL. D. called The conspiracy Against Chastity. All this has come to pass and thank you again for giving us tools to work with.

My children and my husband pray the rosary for all the women that some time have the feeling to abort their little babies….GOd have mercy for all this parenthood staff that they don’t even know what are they doing….they are praying to some one else…who gives dead … not to God that gives everlasting life … GOd Bless you and keep continuing praying for this persons that are totally out of the good…

this will continue to backfire. Decent people know the difference. That lady with the collar on – wow. I will say a prayer for her.
Somehow I can’t put the “healthcare” and “abortion services” together.
Continue on 40 Days for Life. There are many older women who are advancing in age and are alone because of this “Choice” and were any of the reasons worth it? No. Yet it’s hard to tell a woman she will have to raise a child when she’s strapped for basics as it is and perhaps have other children to raise.
So we pray for our women of this nation and the world – for their situations to intersect with and be fused with the Will of God – not Man’s design for women – to be for all women’s best – financially socially and relationally. Those who don’t respect life from the moment of conception to natural death simply cannot understand the heart of God or the nature of prayer. One cannot pray for something that is inherently evil. It’s as if we pray for war when nations are at peace.
With our combined prayers (those “pro choice” and those “pro life”) legalized abortion is sure to be eliminated. How? God will judge harshly those who mockinly pray for abortion. AND, God will enlighten those (however sincere they may believe themselves to be) who pray for abortion to understand what abortion is. Either way our goal will be met.
Let’s not discourage prayer. God will use them for a righteous end.

Who are they praying to? The devil? God does not honor prayer that will cause others to sin. Only Satan hears those prayers. “esus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This verse is recorded 3 times in the Bible, by 3 of the 4 Evangelist. I’d say that it is something we are to take seriously. God will not be mocked.
“Thy kingdom come thy will be done.” Abortion is never the will of God, only of the people who have turned their backs on His holy will!

That PP people are praying is not a bad thing at all. It’s great. God is not going to grant them their evil desires. By the very act of praying they are opening themselves up to an infusion of God’s love and mercy into their hearts. Of course it’s going to backfire on them, because instead of getting what they think they’re asking for, they’re going to get something they didn’t ask for, graces for enlightenment and conversion. I pray every day to Our Mother O Perpetual Help that abortion obomacare will be overcome. I recently have been granted some favors contibuting this to Our Mother. Our Mother O Perpetual Help Is our Icon for the Catholic Diocese of Peoria Il.I pray that obomacare and abortion will be overcome surely , if my little favors are answered. The Catholic church is planing a protest against abortion and the insurance mandate against our freedom of religion our constitutional rite > Every one Keep up the good work and keep praying. Barbie Nellesen has a very good point. If praying is lifting our minds and hearts to God in sincere conversation with Him, then what an opportunity for God to inspire these PP misguided children of His with the truth. We need to keep up our prayer and fasting for their minds to be open to His inspirations and of course support 40 Days for Life with our donations as well to help keep up this most effective effort to change hearts and save lives and souls.

This e-mail comes to me on the heels of a discouraging one about the nation as a whole….and one could possibly feel discouraged about the so called “big picture”. Then I realize, this is the “Big Picture”. This is a peep into the Kingdom of Heaven, showing what can happen when God’s children express the Father’s love and care for the unborn and their mothers and families, and the staff that attends the abortion clinics! I am so encouraged and grateful! Whether anyone’s prayers are genuine or not is not for me to judge, but the fact that all these abortion clinics are closing and people are choosing life, is the thrilling part!

Pray for all women. They have been lied to for 40 years about abortion. No wonder they are so confused. Many see abortion as absolutely necessary if “womanhood is to be separated from motherhood”. They do not understand because of all the lies, that you cannot separate womanhood from motherhood. Even women who never become mothers are still designed for it, sexually, mentally, hormonally. Form + function.
If only the feminists had chosen a different ideology and worked to make women respected and equal WITH their maternal function, not in spite of it.
May these misguided “prayers” if they actually do pray, receive from the Holy Spirit the enlightenment that comes to those who are sincere in heart.

The God of Life and Love is ruling the universe! “Thou shalt not kill” is God’s will. Planned Parenthood is not praying according to God’s will…so they will not receive what they are asking for….in addition, Planned Parenthood is not loving God or neighbor in aborting (killing) God’s innocents. Our job: pray for the grace of constant conversion for them and all because God’s will is that all be saved! Alleleuia! Thank you Jesus for Mercy…Thank you Holy Spirit for inspiring prayer and thank you Father for offering Life and Love for all. Soften hearts to receive these graces. Thank you God. Thank you prayer warriors who are united in these prayers for the graces for constant conversion for all! Recall Matthew 7:21: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord’, ‘Lord’, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father in heaven shall enter the kingdom of heaven.”

“Choice” begins before engaging in sexual activity that may result in a life being conceived. There are consequences for behavior. It is ludicrous to suggest that so called Christian clergy are advocating that we pray for protection of a law that allows babies be sacrificed on the altar of “choice”. God loves all life. What about the “choice” of the baby? They are completely helpless and vulnerable. I am an animal lover, yet I see more protections for animals than vulnerable human babies. “Before you were in the womb I knew you.” said God.
