Manager converts, clinic closes!

July 23rd, 2012 by admin

There are many reasons to bring 40 Days for Life to your city this fall, from September 26 – November 4.

You might see abortion workers have conversions and quit their jobs (which has already happened 69 times during 40 Days for Life campaigns).

You might see a local Planned Parenthood office — or other abortion business — close down for good (which has happened 23 times thus far).

Or, you might experience BOTH of these blessings!

Not long ago, Gerry Brundage nervously signed up to lead a local 40 Days for Life campaign in his community of Sherman, Texas. He wasn’t sure if people would join their vigil outside of the local Planned Parenthood, or if they would see any results … but Gerry stepped out in faith.

Little did he know that the manager of the Planned Parenthood office would have a conversion and quit her job … and that the local Planned Parenthood would go out of business as a result!

David Bereit, our national 40 Days for Life director, joined Gerry and his team for the rally outside the closed-down Planned Parenthood office … and they were joined by Ramona Trevino — the former clinic manager — who praised God for closing down her former workplace, and thanked the volunteers for loving her out of Planned Parenthood.

Highlights of this amazing event were caught on video!

As you watch the video, think about what it would be like for YOU to see local abortion industry workers experience conversions — and to see the local Planned Parenthood (or other abortion center) close down.

If you feel led to bring the proven life-saving results of 40 Days for Life to your community this fall, learn what’s involved and apply to conduct a local campaign by visiting:

Applications to lead local campaigns will be accepted for only 8 more days — until next Tuesday, July 31.

If you are nervous or feel reluctant about taking this step, just remember Gerry’s initial nervousness … and the amazing results of his 40 Days for Life campaign.

Looking forward to many more miracles!

For Life,

Shawn Carney
Campaign Director
40 Days for Life

PS: You do not have to apply to pray, volunteer or participate in a local 40 Days for Life. Only those who want to LEAD a campaign need to apply.

God is at work with the efforts of devout Catholics & Christians to abolish these Planned Parenthood Centers. Thank you God for the leadership & dedication of David Bereit and all those who volunteered to make these miracles happened. Gerry Bundage’s conversion to join the 40 days of Life group is God’s conversion for him to join these group of volunteers for a good cause. Thank you Gerry for your heartfelt involvement with this cause. You have already gained your reward in heaven from our good Lord and the Blessed Mother’s intercession for your conversion. I came across this story this morning, and was compelled to share it.
This story is from the Newsletter of the Sisters of Carmel

The very happy news we can report is the birth of a special baby—who now has 13 Carmelite Aunts! It’s a story, of course! And to appreciate this story, one must appreciate the special family tie shared among ALL the Sisters’ families. This is a bond that sometimes takes years to discover and appreciate, but as the years pass, in one way or another, the families of the Sisters meet—and very often share a lasting friendship in our holy Faith, having its common ground in Carmel. The happy “Baby Story” is simply told. Because one Sister’s sister (a nurse) knew that another Sister’s married sister was looking into adoption, she called the Carmel during the winter to let us know that a young expectant mother desired to find a stable, Catholic home for her baby, to be born in July. Would the Carmelites please pass on this information? After “passing on this information”, the Sisters prayed. For those of you who know the complicated process of adoption, along with its sometimes heartbreaking ups and downs, you will know that prayers are essential! Once we accomplished the initial “connecting” of the two sisters-of-the-Sisters, they communicated about how to arrange basic details to begin the process. The adopting couple’s gratitude to God for this gift, which wondrously passed through Carmelite prayers and hearts, has been immeasurable! Little Augustyn Joseph was born July 8th and baptized on – - – July 16th, of course! Our prayers continue for the selfless young parents, who chose to give their child a steady beginning in a loving Catholic home.
