ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI

“Through your prayers and the efforts of people just like you on the sidewalk we’ve seen three women leave the Planned Parenthood abortion facility today, not getting abortions,” said Brian, the 40 Days for Life coordinator in St. Louis — and that happened just in the first few hours of Day 1!
“One young couple walked right past the prayer volunteers and sidewalk counselor, but just 10 minutes later they walked out looking for some help,” he said. A counselor took a few minutes with them and found out she was pregnant. The young woman was, however, open to other options.
Brian said the counselor “was able to escort this young couple over to our friends at the mobile medical center right across the street to receive all the help they needed to choose life.”

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA

Terri in Bakersfield shared the story of a young woman who drove more than an hour — by herself — for an RU-486 abortion.
The woman speaks Spanish — but Terri only knows a few words in the language. Thankfully, among the prayer volunteers were several who are fluent in Spanish and quickly offered to help.
The volunteers were able to tell the woman that they loved her — and loved her baby. “At first, she was stone faced,” Terri said, “but when one of the prayer ladies started crying, tears ran down her face!”
A few minutes later, a family with two small children introduced themselves to the young woman, “which melted her heart even more!”
The volunteers were able to offer assistance — baby gifts, gas money … and even the possibility of a place for her to live — “and a lot of hugs,” Terri added. “She left thanking us with a big smile and a grateful heart.”

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA

The day before the campaign started, Ernie in Pensacola received a new report of abortion numbers for Escambia County, the county in which Pensacola is located.
“The number of abortions continues to decline,” he said. In 2006 — the year before 40 Days for Life started — Escambia County recorded 2,659 abortions. The 2012 total was 1,645 — more than 1,000 fewer abortions each year!
“Through your faithful witness, prayer, fasting and the grace of God, we have observed a 38% drop in the number of abortions in Pensacola since the start of 40 Days for Life,” Ernie said. “Praise be to God!”

What awesome news! In about 5 days, 47 babies rescued and many mothers and family members spared the terrible trauma of murdering an unborn child or knowing it was murdered. Praise and thanks be to God!
Chapter 6 of “40 Days for Life” was great, as was every chapter I’ve read. I have a couple of chapters to go, then I will start putting out some very positive reviews on this amazing book! I strongly recommend buying this book now and reading it right away. I’ve read it in well under 40 days, because I just couldn’t wait!

This will be my 1st of at least 2 vigils starting 2/20 & 2/27 in front of a Rio Rancho, NM clinic. I feel GOD will use me, even though I’m like Mark, in CH. 6 of “40 Days” book. I come from a different area, RE: abortion. As a person about to enter into marriage to my husband, Mark of 12+years, I feel I was ill-advised by loved ones & Dr.s to avoid pregnancy in early marriage due to many problems that arise- ($, etc. material/other complications) & also needing to wait a few years to decide to stay married kind of “stuff”. I love these people & before GOD, Today 2/19/2013, I forgive all of them- as well as others who have given me pills & 4 shots in 4 months-one of the “Depo” ones, in prep for Fibroid Removal in 2010- Albuquerque,NM. I also seek GOD’s Divine forgiveness for any loss that occured during 1999-2010. My first clues on how bad pills & shots were, at a “Broken From Silence” class at my church in 2011/12 & Randy Alcorn’s book about all related aspects surrounding abortion. I pray GOD uses me, in my post medically treated state, in which my body has suffered for my ignorance & the 10+ years of infertility & other complications I still deal with now in 2013. GOD bless 40 Days in all 261 areas of HIS WORLD, affected by ill-advised DR.s & counselors who purposely or ignorantly, participate in abortion- GOD HELP ALL THESE PEOPLE to come to YOUR LOVE & FORGIVENESS for them & SALVATION.

Praise God you are praying to End Abortion! Bless your heart for how much you have gone through and have been a product of our “modern and practical culture”. I pray God will heal your heart and body! Thank you for opening up and leting us know about your situation!
May God use you to enhance the Kindgod of God and yes you will see your baby in heaven! God bless you sister! Jesus wants to give you a humongus hug, give it back to Him!
