DAY 27: More than 7,000 babies saved!

March 11th, 2013 by admin

I just returned from California and am ready to start the new week by sharing great news. So far during this campaign alone, there have been 319 babies saved from abortion – that we know of.

This means that since 40 Days for Life began as a coordinated campaign in 2007, we are now aware of …

MORE THAN 7 THOUSAND BABIES that God has spared in answer to all of your many hours of prayer.

And this is undeniably God’s work … because sometimes, hearts and minds can be changed without anyone saying a word.

Two prayer volunteers noticed a white SUV in the abortion center’s parking lot. It had decals on the back indicating a mom, a dad and several kids. The out-of-state license suggested these people had come for a late-term abortion.

They noticed a man sitting in the parked SUV, but were never able to get his attention. So they prayed.

After some time, a woman left the building and got into the SUV. As they pulled out of the lot, said one of the vigil participants, “the driver was beaming and so was the woman sitting behind him. They had a baby who looked to be about one sitting in a car seat, which explained why he never left the vehicle. “

The volunteers asked if they’d changed their minds, and they both shouted, “Yes!” and thanked everyone for their prayerful presence outside the abortion facility.

Patti was at the 40 Days for Life vigil on what was sadly a fairly busy morning at the abortion center.

But as the volunteers stood on the sidewalk, “a car turned the corner slowly … a male driver with a young woman next to him, both watching us praying.”

They just pulled over to the curb and stayed there talking for a few minutes. After a while, they started the car, made a U-turn drove away.

“The young woman was crying and hiding her face from us as they drove past,” Patti said, “and we thanked God! A baby was saved due to peaceful prayer and witnessing!”

“I have some of the most amazing news that you will be so happy to hear,” said a grateful volunteer in Cleveland. “I am still shaking and occasionally bursting into tears of joy.”

This woman was holding a sign as she prayed – a sign with the message “Women regret abortion.”

She watched as a car with a young woman and two young men pulled out of the abortion center. One of the men nudged the woman, so she stopped and rolled down the window.

“She told me that she decided not to have an abortion,” the vigil participant said. “The look of pride on her face filled me with such joy. We really are making a difference!”

While we are not currently having a spring campaign at our location, a baby was saved last week from abortion through sidewalk counseling – all of this being the fruit of four 40 Days for Life campaigns in our city.

  2. Anna Says:

In Jesus Name, I pray that 2013 will be the year that legal abortion is brought to an end in the United States of America. Every unborn child has a right to life!

Thank you Father God for every baby that is spared from this horrific death.

I was praying outside of PP in St Louis Missouri on Saturday. When I pulled up, I was so happy to see a large group of prayer volunteers, including a woman leading her 4 pre-teen children in the rosary. Such a beautiful witness. Of course there were negative shouts and gestures….but I would say the positive words, thumbs up, etc. outnumbered those by 5 to 1! I saw two young ladies stopped at the stop light in front of us actually taking pictures with their phones…. very interesting.
Thanks to all of the prayers warriors braving the weather at this time of year…our presence does make a difference!

I have many times gotten discourgaged out on the lines. I pray in front of Planned Parenthood in Chico, California. I have gone down and been the only person praying. Your daily newsletters are always a blessing to me. I will continue praying. God bess 40 Days For Life.

Negative comments and experiences seem to be part of praying out in the open but encountering negatives from your own family is sad. We need to start educating our own families to be pro-life! With God all things are possible.

  6. Mary Jo Bernardo Says:

I saw in the morning that the time slot between 2 and 3 was vacant for a prayer volunteer . I knew i had to pick my son up at school and hesitated to sign up because i thought it was too much of a time crunch. I left the computer and then raced back and clicked the sign up button. I knew i had to go. I relieved two beautiful prayer warriors–one who had stood vigil since 8 this morning. I stood by myself and prayed and noticed the most activity i had ever seen going in and out of the Planned Parenthood in Schenectady, N.Y. i looked at my watch and decided to stay a little longer. As i looked up a car coming out of the parking lot rolled down the window and the woman in the passenger side reached out her hand to me and i grasped it and she said”you saved one today!”its a boy”!. The woman driving and the two of us all started to laugh and I asked her name and told her she would never regret it and that I along with all the other volunteers would be praying for her and her child. The joy and the relief witnessed in those womens’ faces is a sight I will never forget.Praise be to God. And I was right on time to pick up my son.

We don’t have an official 40 Days campaign here in the Palm Springs area of southern California yet. However, ours is a “40 Days Inspired Campaign!” Having heard about 40 Days too late to make it official, we have nonetheless been present at the abortion clinic in Rancho Mirage since the first day, continually building more hours of prayer on site. Last week we received amazing news! A mother entered the Crisis Pregnancy Center saying that our witness plus a brochure had caused her to change her mind. Thank God for the blessing of being a part of God’s work in 40 Days for Life, even if it is unofficial!

  8. Roberta Says:

Another mother and her baby were saved today at the clinic. All praise and thanks to God! A mother and her friend drove into the clinic, they stopped when offered a baby blanket and started a conversation with one of the sidewalk counselors. The mother said she had two other children and couldn’t afford another child. She had thought about adoption but knew if she had a baby now, she would keep it. The person speaking to her said “You have a baby now, it’s just really small. Your baby has fingers and toes and a beating heart”. This really touched her, shortly after Jesus melted her heart and she chose life. All thanks to Jesus who is working miracles and touching so many hearts.

There were only about 7 cars in the clinic today! Jesus is pouring His grace out on parents and their babies, He is gently changing the minds of parents before they drive to the clinic. Please keep the parents who decided to have an abortion today in your hearts and prayers. Jesus cherishes them so much too, may they realize how much He loves them.

    God bless our vigil,
