DAY 13: 135 babies saved from abortion

October 7th, 2013 by admin

I know you’re eager for some Monday morning good news, so I’ll get straight to it.

So far during this 40 Days for Life campaign … through God’s blessings … 135 babies have been saved from abortion – that we know of!

Here are the stories of three of those babies.

Paul watched as a mom and dad arrived at the abortion center with their teenage daughter. The father was a big guy, “and he looked like he was mad.”

One of the prayer volunteers they walked past held a poster with a picture of a tiny baby in the palm of a hand with the words, “choose life.”

The three went inside the building, but came out about half an hour later. The man walked in Paul’s direction – Paul again thought the man appeared angry, but he soon learned he was mistaken.

The first words out of the man’s mouth were, “We decided not to do it. I saw the sign and it made me change my mind.”

“It was an amazing relief!” Paul said. “Thank you Jesus! The Holy Spirit is working through our prayers! Please continue to pray to end abortion in Tuscaloosa.”

Wayne says one of the volunteers at the 40 Days for Life vigil in San Luis Obispo approached a woman headed towards Planned Parenthood. As they began to talk, the woman told her story. She had several children, but did not want another baby.

That’s when the volunteer mentioned ultrasound was available at a local pregnancy care center. That was all it took. The young woman called off plans for the abortion. “Are we blessed?” asked Wayne.

When a prayer volunteer first approached a young couple arriving for an abortion, the woman was quite hostile. But the volunteer didn’t give up. She kept talking – and it paid off.

The young woman said the man who’d driven her to the abortion center was the baby’s father. She didn’t want the abortion, but he was pressuring her. He gave her a handful of cash, then drove away.

“She was 14 weeks pregnant,” said Mary in Little Rock.

The young woman went inside . . . but came back out about 45 minutes later and smiled at the volunteer. She took the money, stuffed it in her pocket – and left.

I pray to God our Father to help all those men who suffer in any way from a lack of fatherly love or guidance or even a misunderstanding between them and their earthly fathers. May He give them the gift to be the father that He wants them to be. May He show them the way. And may they be the sons He wants them to be. May He show them the Way. Amen.

    Hi Shawn!
Just wanted to send a quick quip to let you know that 40 Days For Life is having an impact up here in Glen Ellyn, IL as well as the surrounding locations!

At Glen Ellyn, the abortion business is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays; thus far, every Saturday during this prayer campaign the facility has been CLOSED!

At nearby Downers Grove, it looks like they’re rallying many people together in prayer according to their vigil calendar!

And I just received word that at Aurora, a baby has been SAVED!

Thank you for all you’ve done in starting this, and God bless all the more abundantly those who have been faithfully bending His ear! I’ll send you more detailed info about what’s going on with our campaign soon!

    Love in the Lord,
    Ava Voissem

We had a young girl leave our local Planned Parenthood Clinic in Harlingen, TX, this past Friday crying, as she was too far along for an abortion. We offered her a baby gift and assistance, while trying to reassure her that this child will help transform her into a loving, responsible adult.

Yesterday we made a pulpit announcement to ask people to sign up for the vigil. A woman came to the table visibly emotional with a young lady by her side. She told us she was a miracle because she had considered aborting her as she was conceived in rape. The love of that mother for that daughter was evident. I gave her a hug and thanked her for choosing life. She and her daughter are signed up to pray with us at the vigil :-)

I was looking at condos yesterday and there were many people around the entrance to one condo community holding up pro life signs. I realized that the abortion clinic in Glen Ellyn, IL is right at the entrance of the condo community. I told my realtor that I would not look at the condo because there was no way I would live near a condo community. I wouldn not have known this, if not for the campaign!

Let us pray for pro life judges and lawyers. God Bless

My sister and I prayed outside of a Planned Parenthood facility in Ankeny, IA today. We were the only ones praying there at the time. We were there for 2 1/2 hrs. We saw a man and a woman enter. The man later came out and sat in his car, apparently waiting for the abortion to be finished. He was parked near where we were praying. He kept a hand up in front of his face so that he wouldn’t have to look at us. The woman emerged from the facility a couple of hours later. She must of had the child she carried aborted. They would not look at us and quickly left the premises. We saw a young woman enter the facility along with a young child and a much older woman. We never did see them emerge again; the young woman must have had an abortion. We saw so many young women enter the building, all alone, carrying what looked like medical paperwork in with them. Most were back out in a half hour or so. We prayed and prayed for the innocent unborn babies, for the women who were desperate enough to think that they should have abortions, for the fathers, most of whom were not with the women who were planning on aborting their unborn child, and for the workers inside the facility. God blessed us both with a sense of peace as we prayed. We are so grateful to everyone at 40 Days for Life for all they do to protect unborn babies and to help the parents as well.

  10. Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Prayed in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon at one of the abortion mills. Before I got in my car, I felt that I really didn’t want to go. But I thought about other intercessors who were reluctant and found out that their presence was needed. I couldn’t remember if abortions were done at that mill on Sundays or not. It was a relief to see that the parking lot was empty.
But 2 African American men were there mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges (I’m white). I asked one if he knew what went on in the building. He said, “Yes, but it’s a meal.” He seemed irritated with me for engaging him about the fact that he was supporting the abortion business as he beautified the grounds. He took a pamphlet about abortion when I offered it, and he shoved it into his pants pocket.
The other man was more interested in talking. He said that he doesn’t agree with abortion and thinks about it the whole time he is there. I told him about the agenda that Planned Parenthood has for eliminating his people – he didn’t know about that. He took a pamphlet from me and read parts of it while I prayed on the sidewalk. I asked him if I could pray for him to find a different job, so that he wouldn’t have to work there. He agreed, and we held hands and asked Father to provide. That man has 5 children. I told him that I would pray for him and his family and wrote down their names. I believe that hearts are being changed as we present people with the truth, and display our concern for them.
