Become a Coordinator

Do you feel called to be a church coordinator?

Here’s information and resources to help you get started involving your church or group in 40 Days for Life:

Step 1: Contact your pastor.  Contact your pastor and ask if your church can “adopt a time of prayer” at the Metropolitan Family Planning clinic in College Park. Don’t be afraid to ask your pastor to join you in prayer at the abortion facility. The Program Highlights will help you to present 40 Days for Life to your pastor. You can also contact
Janice Oliver, (301) 518-3874, 40daysforlifeMD@gmail.com if you would like someone to come with you when you meet with your pastor.

Step 2: Get the word out. After you have your pastor’s approval, get the word out in your church community about the 40 Days for Life campaign. Contact your director of religious education, youth minister(s), and other prayer and ministry groups to employ their assistance and get their involvement.  Advertise the campaign in your parish bulletin using the sample bulletin announcements and fliers provided.

Step 3: Coordinate a sign up. Choose a Sunday to promote the campaign in your church. Invite your pastor to offer a pro-life homily. Set up a table outside the worship space where people can stop and pick up information about 40 Days or sign-up for a prayer hour(s) using the Statement of Peace and Sign up Sheet.
