March 10, 2009 - Abortion Provider Appreciation Day.  A sick concept of thanking the killers of the unborn babies... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A Very Special thank you to all who came out from the 40 Days for Life Collegeville/Pottstown Prayer Campaign's to our 40 Days for Life Victory Rally Celebration at St. Mary's Cafe on Sunday, November 1, 2009, All Saint's Day! Prayer Warriors had the opportunity to venerate 1st Class Relics of St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton!  St. John Neuman's 1st Class Relic was out on loan to a prayer warrior! St. Pio, Please, Please, Please Pray for Us!!!  Our Lady of Guadalupe, Please, Please, Please Pray for Us!!! The following picture taken by Theresa Leitold, M.E.V. also, the baker who made this delicious 1531 Our Lady of Guadalupe's year that she appeared to St. Juan Diego!!!  Theresa baked each of the numbers in 4 different flavors and so delicious!!! All Saints Day

This feast day grew out of the love and devotion of God's people. It is so much a part of ourselves to feel gratitude for and to honor the saints. We mean all of the women, men and children who have died and are now in heaven. Some passed through purgatory to be purified for the Lord's presence. They stayed until the moment when they were ready to see God. They are with him now forever. Some saints have been singled out for their own feast day. The Church offers their witness of heroic, joyful lives for Jesus. But there aren't enough days of the year to fit all the countless saints who walked through this life witnessing to Jesus. Some kept close to the Lord all their lives. Others found him along the way. Some led good lives without major difficulties. Others made big mistakes, but found the Lord on the road of repentance and genuine sorrow. They made it! We celebrate their journey that led to eternal happiness with God. We celebrate our own family members, relatives, neighbors and friends whom we believe to be in heaven. Today we can rejoice in our hearts with all the saints in heaven.

We can make up our own prayer to them, thanking them for the witness of their lives. We can thank them, too, for helping us overcome our difficulties and temptations. We ask them to help us on our own journey through life.

"Clearly, if we venerate [the memory of the saints], it serves us, not them. But I tell you, when I think of them, I feel myself inflamed by a tremendous yearning. Calling the saints to mind inspires, or rather arouses in us, above all else, a longing to enjoy their company." -St. Bernard

We will gather at Collegeville Planned Parenthood - 78 2nd Ave. (Rt. 29) at 10 AM to 11 AM.   Anyone is free to come, pray, and stand with us. Women who are involved with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will carry signs that read, "I regret my abortion," and men will hold signs saying, "I regret lost fatherhood." "We are highly encouraged that the Silent No More Awareness Campaign is urging women and men who have found healing in the wake of abortion to stand witness in front of abortion facilities on March 10 in connection with 40 Days for Life," said Shawn Carney, spring campaign director for 40 Days for Life. "The message of post-abortion healing plays an important role in the dismantling of the abortion culture and the construction of a new culture of life." The date, March 10, was chosen because it is the same date that the abortion industry has marked as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. "That concept flies in the face of the destruction we know abortion causes," said Carney, "not just for the baby whose life is taken, but for the mother, the father - and many others including extended family and friends. "It is our fervent hope that women with abortion appointments on March 10 will see the silent, prayerful witness of others who have walked in their shoes, and avoid making a tragic decision that could haunt them physically, psychologically and spiritually for years and years to come." This outreach is the product of an effort that took place in Charlotte, North Carolina, where two of the local 40 Days for Life campaign leaders are also regional coordinators for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. One day of last fall's 40 Days for Life vigil was set aside as Silent No More Day, where women and men with abortion experiences were asked to bring their signs and join volunteers outside the Charlotte abortion facility where the prayerful vigil was being held. According to these local coordinators, the message "I regret my abortion," displayed during the peaceful vigil, helps demonstrate that there are women and men in all communities who have been devastated by abortion. "We have already seen evidence that the 40 Days for Life concept of prayerful vigil leads people with abortion experiences to seek healing," said Carney. "This partnership will strengthen that message and hopefully bring others to reconciliation." The local leaders in Charlotte see post-abortion healing as "one of the most important mission fields today." 40 Days for Life is an intensive 40-day program of prayer and fasting, community outreach, and constant vigil outside abortion facilities, Planned Parenthood offices and other public locations.
