Rally scheduled Sunday, October 18th to mark midpoint of

Dayton 40 Days for Life campaign

Dayton, Ohio – “As we are about to reach the mid-point of prayer, fasting, vigil and outreach, it is time to gather with pro-life members of the Dayton community to share stories and encourage one another, building towards a strong finish of our 40 Days for Life campaign. We will gather at 1401 E. Stroop Rd on Sunday, October 18th at 2 PM,” said Jenny Belokonny, Director for the Dayton 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is an intensive pro-life campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and 40 days of grassroots educational outreach. The 40-day time frame is drawn from examples throughout Biblical history where God brought about world-changing transformation in 40-day periods.

Dayton is one over 200 communities from coast to coast conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from September 23 through November 1. “We want to thank all the people who’ve made great personal sacrifice to bring 40 Days to Life to the halfway point,” said Belokonny. “We also know that we still have a long way to go in our collective effort to demonstrate the harm abortion has done to Dayton.”

The speaker at the 40 Days for Life mid-point event will be Father Geoff Drew of St Maximillian Kolbe parish who will lead the rosary at the pre-rally starting at 2 PM. He is the featured speaker at the 2:30 rally.

“For the remainder of the 40 days of prayer and fasting and community outreach, we intend to gather for continuous prayer outside the abortion facility at 1401 E Stroop Rd, praying for an end to abortion in our community. We look forward to the challenge of bringing 40 Days for Life to an energetic conclusion,” said Belokonny.
