What can you do in right here in Dayton? 1. Pray and fast Christ told us that some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand. Prayer keeps us rooted in the fact that it is our desire to carry out God's will. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God's help. Fasting is not a Christian diet; it is a form of physical prayer. You can fast from food, TV, alcohol ... anything that separates you from God. 2. Sign up for daily devotions and updates To learn more about 40 Days for Life and get daily devotional prayers and breaking news about this effort, sign up today using the form on the top right of this page. 3. Spread the word The success of 40 Days for Life depends on the most powerful form of advertising in the world -- word of mouth. The vigil is peaceful; participants sign a "Statement of Peace" with a pledge that they will conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner. All people are welcome!
5. Get your family or your school involved
Say a prayer for the end of abortion every day. We have short prayers for everyday during the 40 Days for Life campaign. Just download the prayers and use them with your family, or encourage your school to pray them each day.

6. Get your church involved
A great way to get involved is to have your church "Adopt a Day" at the abortion clinic. Don't worry, we can help. Just send an e-mail to Jenny at jkony1@gmail.com and tell her you want to get your church involved. We have flyers, bulletin inserts, pulpit announcements, and everything else you might need.
7. Stay Involved
Do you want to stay involved in prayerful vigil at the abortion facility after the 40 days are over? The following groups meet on a regular basis. You are welcome to join them.
Every day the abortion facility is open, concerned local individuals pray during the hours it is open
Sat. mornings at 9:20 a.m. - St. Charles, St. Francis of Assisi, Emmanuel
First Wednesday of the month at noon - Incarnation
Every Wednesday at noon - local men pray during their lunch hour
Every Wednesday 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. - St. Francis de Sales
