From September 23-November 1, the metroeast/Southern Illinois communities will be one of many areas from coast to coast joining together for the most dynamic coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- 40 Days for Life.  This is grass roots.  It is meant to be advertised by word of mouth.  Encourage your friends, Sunday School class, youth group, pastor, anyone you know to get involved and encourage them to tell others.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the silent, peaceful, prayer vigil outside The Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City. This abortion mill is the Midwest's largest, late-term abortion mill where no parental consent in necessary. Therefore, there is a higher volume coming from surrounding states.

Does standing outside abortion mills do any good? Just ask the thousands of babies saved due to a peaceful, prayerful witness.

It is across from the emergency room of Gateway Regional Medical Center on the south side of the hospital in Granite City.  It is in a well lit area of town and there is adequate parking up and down the side streets.  (Please go the Vigil tabs to learn the do's and don'ts for the vigil.)
