Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE): Click this link to review the FACE act which outlines prohibited and not prohibited activities outside contraception and abortion clinics. In general, we are prohibited from physically impairing people from accessing the clinic, trespassing, vandalism, threats, and stalking. We can protest, distribute material, carry signs, shout, sing, and pray.
Read this letter, sent by a local pro-life lawyer to the Hamilton Twp Police, to learn more about our first amendment right to protest.
Location: American Women's Services a.k.a. Princeton Women's Services. Address: Hamilton Professional Center, 1345 Kuser Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Across from Hamilton Lanes (Bowling).
Times: Check back for hours for the Hamilton 2012 Spring Vigil.
What to Bring: Due to logistics issues, we cannot provide signs or other materials on-site. Feel free to bring your own signs, sacramentals, and other prayer material to the site during your visit. I have signs which say “Pray to end abortion.” Please give me a call at (908) 433-9001 if you would like to pick one up to use at the site. Other items you may want to bring: fold-up chairs. Cell phone. Drinks / snacks if you desire. Dress appropriately for the weather.
While on-site: Stay on the sidewalk near the mailbox in front of the Hamilton Professional Center building. Carry any trash out with you at the end of your shift. Reflect Christ's love to all American Women's Center employees, volunteers, and customers. Do no obstruct the public right of way. Cooperate with city authorities. Closely attend to children you bring to the vigil.
Remember Why You Are There - This is a prayer vigil NOT a protest. You are praying for God's grace to end abortion. If approached by local media simply say you are praying for God's grace to end abortion then refer them the web site www.40daysforlife.com/hamilton. If you are confronted by pro-abortion groups or employees of American Women's Services, be respectful. Walk away if necessary.
