HOME: Welcome to 40 Days for Life

YOU can help save lives!

The Archdiocese of Hartford is participating in the 40 Days for Life Campaign for our second year from September 23 - November 1. Our community will be one of more than 200 cities in 45 American states, 5 Canadian provinces and Denmark, joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

All denominations are welcome to join the prayerful vigil in Hartford.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the Hartford abortion mill, the Hartford GYN Center at 1 Main Street.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Hartford GYN Center
1 Main Street
Hartford, CT

The vigil will held on the small, triangular island near the abortion clinic. Parking is available at St. Peter Church, 160 Main St., a short walk from the clinic. St. Gerard Pregnancy Center is also located near the triangle.
