I was very pleased to be participating in the 40 Days for Life here in Indianapolis last year. Prayer and fasting are powerful tools in the effort to protect life at its most vulnerable stages. Also pray for the conversion of elected officials that they, too, may come to realize that the unborn child needs our protection.

I praise and bless the Lord for giving us the treasure of prayer during 40 Days for Life . I am sure that these 40 days of prayer are going to have a great impact not only in Indianapolis , but in all of the United States of America and the world. Because united in body and soul in Christ our Lord, we are able to overcome the holocaust of death of thousands of defenseless human beings. We speak for those who can't speak. We defend those who are unable to defend
themselves. Raising our voice with a strong cry to God in order that the wave of death may cease, we ask for the conversion of those who are in favor of abortion. And may God, with his immense mercy, change their way of behaving.
We have then faith in Jesus Christ our Lord in this chain of prayer because he makes himself present fulfilling his word, "where there are two or more united in my name, I am in their midst."
If God is with us who can be against us? With faith and love we must pray in order that God may move hearts.
