On-Site Vigil

Joan Zelezny is one of our early prayer warriors. Joan has been standing weekly in prayer here at Planned Parenthood since Spring 2008.

Chris and Cas Moritz, Campaign Prayer Coordinators in the center and James Compton, Communications Coordinator at right.  Our presence begins first with regular committments from our local leadership team.

Daily we have new people driving by that stop and join in our prayer.  In this instance we also had a cyclist stop along the highway and join in a period of prayer.

Karen Trierweiler, Campaign Director (left), pictured with Libbee Todd and her two youngest children, Colton and Meagan.  Libbee stopped to pray with us and share her personal testimony to life.  Libbee is the proud mother of four children and suffers from a devastating disease that causes symptoms similar to extreme food poisoning during the duration of her pregnancies.  When diagnosed during her first pregnancy, doctors recommended that she opt for an abortion but Libbee was determined to give her child life and persevered to give her three additional children life despite the severe illness and misery she would suffer during her pregnancies.  God Bless you Libbee.  Your heroic virtue encourages all of us to persevere through the crosses we bear as we follow Christ.

This cross on top of nearby First Baptist Church serves as a souce of strength when vigil participants are weakend and battered by weather and fatigue.

Betty Collins and Bonnie Grubb lead and encourage us with their daily presence at our vigil location.  Thank you both and also the many others who have stepped forward and made a daily committment to on-site prayer for an end to abortion.

Planned Parenthood has stepped up security....Are they feeling the effects of our powerful prayer effort?  We hope and pray God will convert their hearts.

Jeff and Megan Petty.  Megan is a regular on-site participant in hopes that her presence will give her an opportunity to reach and speak with woman who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and in need of compassionate guidance and the truth about abortion that she knows they won't receive inside the doors of Planned Parenthood.
