Steve Karlen, North American Outreach Director, will be holding a workshop for those interested in holding a 40 Days for Life campaign, or improving their outreach effectiveness. The first hour or so will be continental breakfast, mingling, nametags, etc. From 9-9:30 or so will probably be general introductory type of stuff. The rest of the day will use a workshop format employed by Fortune 500 companies for problem solving and strategic planning. We’ll have each campaign take a look at the lay of the land in their communities. Each campaign will then set goals that can be used to move closer to our overall goal of ending abortion in our communities. Finally, we’ll put together a work plan for accomplishing those goals. The type of goals usually entail things like implementing sidewalk counseling, year-round prayer presence, inviting more participants, creating a succession plan or building out a leadership team, etc. We’re going for objectives that are tangible and doable. In addition to the continental breakfast, we’ll have a free lunch and great opportunity to network with other area leaders. The workshop will end by 5 p.m.
