INSPIRATION

Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Isreal, whom you have defied.  This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand."
1 SAMUAL 17:45-46

David was certainly an optimist!  Regardless of his circumstances, David could always see God's activity!
A pessimist focuses on the problems, concentrating on the reasons why something cannot be done.

The optimist sees those same problems, but he sees them from the perspective of God's presence.

As we stand united at Governor's Ridge, may we be blessed to see Life from the perspective of God's presence.

I Marched Today

I Marched Today
I marched today, my head held high,
My  heart so full of pride.
I didn’t grow tired or weary,
For Jesus was by my side.

 I looked at those around me;
The young and the old were there,
Determined to make his journey,
With faith and hope and a prayer,

As I walked I thought of little hands
That would never hold a toy.
And precious hearts that will never know
The feeling of love and joy.

Oh Lord, how wonderful to see
Thousands who marched in your name,
If they helped to save but one child,
Their steps were not in vain
