The Call
Being called to pray and fast: Being involved in the campaign against abortion is vital. The first thing everyone should do is begin with prayer and fasting. We can pray at any time or in any place. We should not cease to pray for an end to abortion and should do this daily. We should pray for the baby in the womb, the mother that thinks of abortion, the mother that has an abortion, those women who have had abortions, the doctor performing the abortion, the staff aiding in the abortion, and all those who for one reason or another are supporting abortion. We also must not forget to fast. It is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God's help. It is a physical form of prayer. As we know from Holy Scripture, some demons can only be cast out by prayer and fasting.
Being called to stand vigil: We need YOU on the sidewalk! The next step we can take is to be involved in attending the prayer vigil for some time, which takes place daily, outside the Planned Parenthood facility. This part of the campaign is crucial, as we are on the front lines. It is a peaceful and educational presence, and is the most visible component of 40 Days for Life. We stand in constant prayer outside the place where children are being aborted and where women are being hurt. It is a prayerful witness to the clinic's patients and employees and to the entire Memphis community, that evil is in our midst and that with God's help, it will be defeated.
So far to date because of the presence of 40 Days For Life on the sidewalk 24 Abortion Facilities have closed, 69 workers have left the industry, 5,928 babies have been saved!!!
Sign up here, and make this life-saving impact by joining our local vigil during the 40 Days at:

Being called to take part in outreach: Then we can take another step. We can take the good news of life proactively to every corner of our community through the door-to-door petition and education drive coordinated by the campaign. It reaches out to thousands of families in our area, asking them to join in prayer and fasting with us during the 40 Days and also bringing to them information on the campaign and truth about abortion. You can also make your church aware of this campaign and ask them to print the dates in your church bulletin.

Planned Parenthood bought and renovated the Family Services building on 2430 Poplar Ave.
Aiding the Campaign
Spread the Word
The success of 40 Days for Life depends on the most powerful form of advertising in the world - word of mouth. Tell all of your friends, family members, co-workers, and fellow believers about 40 Days for Life. Encourage them to visit the website where they can learn more and get involved.
Mobilize your Church
We are relying on God's providence to fill the vigil schedule. We are hoping that a church will volunteer to take a day to stand vigil (12 hours) in shifts every day of the vigil (40 days). For this to happen we need passionate people, like yourself, who would be willing to introduce this to their pastor and church to help us to get the communities of faith in our area mobilized into this life-saving effort!
