This Lent, from February 25-April 5, our community will be one of more than 170 cities in 45 states joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion (or Planned Parenthood) facility.

In addition to the Orlando 40 Days For Life Campaign, Ocala will also participate in the national 40 Days For Life Spring Campaign from Feb. 25-Apr. 5. Our KICK OFF Rally is to be held Tuesday, February 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Alpha Center, located at 118 N. Pine Ave. in Ocala.  Speakers include Father Patrick J. O'Doherty of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Pastor Bill Fortune of Maranatha Baptist Church. There will be a Community Baby Shower with collection of items to be given to the Alpha Center for their client families.  Live music.  There will be opportunity to register for vigil shifts while at the Rally..  Visit our website for more information or to register for vigil online.
