I went to Morgentaler and Civic. I can tell you right off the bat, Morgentaler clinic is the best there is. I was awake for the procedure, so I was aware of what was going on, I could talk,I could make sure I was being taken care of. The nurse was wonderful, she let me look at the ultrasound when I asked, chatted, made sure I was sure, treated me like a human who owned herself. I had minimal pain afterwards, no complications and I walked out in one piece able to walk. Not everyone has an abortion beause they didnt use protection..lets be realistic! I went to civic and I almost crawled they were belligerant, snotty, abusive and DID NOT remove the foetus at 8 weeks...just mashed it up and left it in me, bones and all...I had it come out of me at home later that day after long contractions and immense pain..I had over 1 cup of jello-chunk clotted blod come out of me and then on one of my trips, I felt a spasm and next thing I know there are remains in my toilet...it was traumatic, and if iI wasnt a Med Tech myself and didnt know what was going on, I would have been screwed in the head for life. i distinctly recall a civic nurse smacking my leg harshly telling me to 'open, oipen open' as I was waking up....remember they DID NOT do a proper job (in a HOSPITALLLL!!!) and I was laying there is immense pain trying to spread and I could ot. I eventually told her to 'fuck off, you are hurting me' because the vibration of her smacking the inside of my leg ws awful on my insides. I know others who went to Morgentaler with good results. If yo want to support an organization, that clinic is the best there is. Oh BTW , when I wanted to see the foetus at the Civic, they turned the screen for less than 3 seconds than turned the monitor off, everyone walking around with noses in the air, judgemental, inconsiderate and rough. None of them should be in the health profession, the should have been employed on an Alberta oil rig, away from civilized ppl I should have sued..it was a nightmare. sorry 4 being graphic
