40 Days of Praying and Fasting
Christ told us that some demons can only be cast out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand. Prayer keeps us rooted in God’s will, while fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God’s help. Fasting is not a Christian diet; it is a form of physical prayer. You can fast from food, TV, alcohol, candy … anything that separates you from God. Each day during the campaign, please commit to pray and fast for the end to abortion and the building up of a culture of life. The Church of St. Columba, Route 82, Hopewell Junction extends a warm invitation to all 40 Days for Life participants to visit Jesus and pray for the success of the campaign in the Adoration Chapel, Oratory of Our Lady Cause of Our Joy, located in the Convent building behind the Church; Mon-Fri 9AM - 9PM and Sat 8AM - 1PM.

40 Days of Peaceful, Prayerful Vigil
Stand for life by being a peaceful public witness outside the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Poughkeepsie, New York. Pray for the lives of the babies, for their mothers, and for the conversion of all involved in the abortion. To schedule times when you can participate in this 12-hour a day/7-day a week vigil, see the VIGIL SCHEDULE link at the top of this page. All participants must sign a “Statement of Peace” pledge when registering.

Yes, we stand vigil every day during the 12-hour period even when the facility is closed. If you feel more comfortable, feel free to move to the Church Street entrance of Planned Parenthood during these times. But, remember, we are not there to be "seen", but to prayer to our mighty God!
