How to Bring Adopt a Day to Your Church
Approach your pastor, ask if you can take on the challenge of filling a day next week. We need YOU to step forward and help us fill the sidewalk with volunteers prepared to Pray to End Abortion.

Once you have selected a day to adopt, contact us to confirm that the day is still open on the calendar and plan on making announcements at your church 2 weeks in advance, as well as having announcements placed in the church bulletin. On the weekend when the announcements are made, have tables set up at the end of each Mass / Church Service requesting people sign-up for a specific time slot at the sidewalk, using the Adopt A Day Sign-up Sheets. If someone would like to assist, but cannot come on the day you have adopted, please take their information, as well as the date & time when they can come.
You will want to request a Statement of Peace from each volunteer.
You may also want to have on-hand a copy of our Vigil Etiquette document which walks through how to conduct yourself when representing Christ on the sidewalk of the abortion site.
After you have held your Sign-up Day, enter all the names, their contact information and the timeslots for which they have committed into the on-line Vigil Calendar for the site at which you have adopted a day:

Adopt a Day Coordinators
As an Adopt A Day Coordinator, you can enter the information for those whom you have scheduled. You will also be helped by our Calendar Coordinator in charge of the day of the week for which you will be at the sidewalk. See our Contact Us page to see who is scheduled to help you. One Church Volunteer Coordinator took our basic flyer had it enlarged to approximately 11” x 17” at Kinko’s (or a similar copy shop), laminated it, and purchased a table easel that attached to the back of the laminated sign. She then stood this sign on her sign-up table, encouraging people to join in the effort.
