Fall '09, Week 2 - TWO MORE SAVES!!
We had another amazing day at FPA/Mission Hills! The morning began with our Knights of Columbus gathering for the morning prayer vigil, and we ALWAYS appreciate their presence!! As you can see in the picture, we had a great turnout for most of the morning, which also included a large Couples for Christ group. Thanks to ALL of you who joined us in prayer this morning!!
The best news was early in the morning. Fortunately, "business" actually seemed to be a bit lighter than normal, although a few women and couples were entering the building. Around 8:30, a couple walked out the front door and the husband said loudly to all of us, "We changed our minds!!!!!" To say that we were stunned and ecstatic at the same time would be the understatement of the year. Several of us walked up to them, and asked what made them change their minds. The wife was sobbing uncontrollably, and her husband (who seemed relieved and joyful) said that just seeing all of us praying made them realize they'd be murderers (his words, not ours). We reassured them that God would bless them and their family tremendously for their change of heart, and asked if they needed any type of assistance. They said no, that wasn't the issue. They already had 3 children, one of whom is a newborn, and they were scared they wouldn't be able to handle another so soon. But, they left convinced that they are being blessed with another gift from God. That was a great start to our day! Your prayerful presence makes such a difference!!! This couple wasn't approached by an experienced sidewalk counselor. They simply were touched by the sight of people praying to end abortion.
Later in the day, I received a message from a sidewalk counselor to let me know that another woman changed her mind and decided to keep her baby!! Praise God!! And please, we all need to pray for a 14-year old who is afraid to tell her mother she's pregnant. She didn't go thru with her abortion today, but her decision is still not definite.
And, as a side note, I have to give one of the extremely dedicated prayer warriors the "Ingenious Creativity Award" for the day. This morning she brought a spray bottle filled with holy water and sprayed the entire perimeter of the building!! Awesome!!!
God Bless You All!!!
