Prayer Can Change the Course of History!

From February 13 - March 24, our community will be one of many joining together for a faith-filled, groundbreaking, coordinated pro-life mobilization -- 40 Days for Life.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in Springfield -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local Planned Parenthood facility.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Planned Parenthood is located between the railroad tracks and 11th Street, across the street from Catholic Charities. Parking is available in the Catholic Charities lot at 12th and Washington. Enter on 12th Street. If the lot is full, you will need to find parking on the street. Please bring change for the parking meters.

Springfield Planned Parenthood Office Hours are as follows:
Monday: 8am-4pm
Tuesday: 8am-4pm
Wednesday: 12pm-7pm
Thursday: 9am-5pm
Friday: 8am-4pm


We welcome groups and individuals to participate in our local 40 Days for Life vigil. 

Churches and Organizations: To reserve a block of time for your group, please contact the leadership team (see contact information below). We encourage your group to consider a 12-hour day (or some smaller portion of a day) or a regular weekly block of time throughout the campaign. 

Individuals: To sign up to participate as an individual, you may either click on the "Vigil Schedule" link at the top of this page or contact the leadership team (see information below). 

We strongly discourage anyone from praying alone. If you cannot arrange to have a prayer partner, contact the leadership team and a prayer partner will be arranged for you.

Adopt a partner agency

Springfield Right to Life has partnered with local agencies that help pregnant and parenting women who might otherwise choose abortion. Please click on the "Partner Agencies" link at the top of the page to see how you can help these agencies in their life-saving work.
