February 14 – March 25

Nottingham, United Kingdom

Take a stand for life

From February 14 to March 25, our community will take part in 40 Days for Life … a groundbreaking, coordinated international  mobilization. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city — and beyond.

Vigil Location

Our vigil location is within sight of the entrance to the Treatment Centre, which is part of the Queens Medical centre. This is where the majority of abortions are carried out in Nottingham. The Treatment Centre/QMC can be accessed by bus (from the city centre), by tram (from Nottingham station, or from Beeston), or by car. There are car parks on the QMC site (car park 3 would be the best), but parking is not free. It is possible to park free of charge on Nottingham University campus at weekends. This is a short walk from our vigil location.
If you still aren't sure where we are, follow the signs to CAR PARK 3. If you do this, you will see the Treatment Centre. As you turn off left to go to car park 3, our vigil is on the left hand side.

Launch and information evening for Nottingham Vigil

This event will give people the chance to find out more about what is involved in a 40 days for life campaign, and what the aims are. It is also a chance to hear from people who have taken part in a prayer vigil before, and to ask them questions. We will be joined by Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, who has run many prayer vigils in Birmingham. She will tell us how the vigil can help women.
