From September 27 to November 5, our community will take part in 40 Days for Life … a groundbreaking, coordinated international mobilization. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city — and beyond.
St. Mary's Community Health Campus
Our Statement of Peace, which all our participants must pledge to honour, clearly indicates that, though we strongly wish for abortion to be abolished, we have nothing but compassion for those who have been affected by the devastating effects of abortion or are now in a moment of crisis and contemplating having one.
We are at the vigil simply to pray, and display a help line number (0800 096 25 18) for anyone who might change their mind and give the growing human being a chance to live, and to remind anyone who has been affected by a past abortion that healing can take place and every human being is precious, including themselves - no matter what happened in the past.
We will pray for the reparation of all the last 50 years - 9 million abortions - and for a conversion of all hearts.
