From March 6 to April 14, our community will take part in 40 Days for Life … a groundbreaking, coordinated international mobilization. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city — and beyond.
Public right-of-way outside
4711 Golf Rd
Skokie, IL 60076
PLEASE BE ADVISED: Do not park or enter the Carafem office parking lot. It is best to park across the street adjacent to the Skokie Hospital. I also ask that you please only pray on the sidewalk along Golf Road and at most, in the grassy area next to the sidewalk. That area is public space per the Skokie Police Dept. This notice is to ensure that we as peaceful prayer warriors are not unnecessarily harassed or suffer repercussions in our effort to save lives. Please call me, Joe your vigil leader, with questions or concerns. (847-309-0360). Thank you all!
March 23rd is nearly the halfway point for 40 Days. Now is the time to galvanize in unified public prayer. We need every prayer warrior who might be available to come out in force this Saturday March 23rd! I can offer “40 Days” signs to anyone who would like one (I have enough to send an unmistakable reminder to every mother that comes to Carafem that morning that there is still time to turn the car around). I also need help holding a large 40 Days banner up for at least 1-2 hours. Additionally, we are in need of support in the afternoon also. Please use this week to ask people at your church and in your community to support this vigil. Remember, the busy people are not too busy. They are busy because, like all of you, THEY TAKE ACTION. They need your invitation. I will be asking the Women’s Center if they can bring their mobile ultrasound unit on the 23rd (details forthcoming). And SAVE THE DATE.....40 DAYS LEADERSHIP TOUR BUS is coming to this vigil on April 13th. Please call and let me know how I can help. God bless you, your families, and this vigil! Take this brief message with you through your week for inspiration. Our first 40 Days for Life vigil in Flossmoor, IL, which is still ongoing, just had its first known save this past week, witnessed by Karen, one of our first prayer warriors in Flossmoor during the opening of the Planned Parenthood there. Here was the message Karen sent me:
“It is a special blessing for me to have witnessed a young mom and dad leaving the Flossmoor Planned Parenthood today, during 40 Days for Life, who stopped to tell us that they had changed their minds and chose life! To God be all the glory!”
