Our mission: Knowing that “with God, all things are possible,” people of Faith and good conscience unite in 40 days of prayer and fasting. Christ told us some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand. Prayer keeps us rooted in our desire to carry out God’s will. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our limitations with God’s help.
Why this is so important?
CVS and Walgreens provide and sell the drugs used in Chemical abortions (aka abortion pills), which is now the most common form of abortion. We intend to create public awareness that these corporations sell these dangerous and deadly drugs to persuade them to drop these products immediately.
Selling abortion pills is not healthcare. Mifepristone and Misoprostol used for abortion are far riskier than surgical abortions, according to established scientific consensus.
Abortion pills carry the added risk that when heightened complications invariably occur, women suffer those harms at home, away from medical help. Two women from Georgia have died recently from “self-managing” their abortions abandoned by the cold-hearted, ideologically driven abortion industry—profits over people.
And finally, mail-order abortion pills also invite the horror of an increase in coerced abortions. When abortion drugs are mailed or consumed outside a regulated medical facility, the risk of coercion is much higher—indeed, guaranteed—because there is no oversight. Outside the regulated medical context, a person can obtain an abortion pill quite easily and then coerce a woman into taking it.
Call to action:
The goal is to build community awareness and advocate for CVS and Walgreens to drop these toxic products immediately. We will participate in this location (State & Walnut) at 40 Days for Life to prayerfully and peacefully draw attention to the issue and get the community involved. We have information to hand out on the risks of these abortion drugs, how to contact CVS and Walgreens corporate headquarters to voice our concerns and information about pregnancy resources in our area.
