Thank you for joining our local 40 Days for Life campaign. Your presence matters. Through peaceful prayer, fasting, and public witness, we seek to defend the dignity of every human life, offer hope to women and families, and work for an end to abortion.

Our Mission

Knowing that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26), people of faith and conscience unite for 40 days of prayer and fasting.

Prayer keeps us rooted in God’s will and reminds us that this mission ultimately belongs to Him. Fasting strengthens our prayer by joining it to personal sacrifice. Together, prayer and fasting open our hearts to grace and equip us to confront the spiritual and cultural forces that threaten human life.

Our vigil must always remain peaceful, prayerful, compassionate, and hopeful. We are here not to condemn anyone, but to bear witness to the truth, support women in difficult circumstances, and proclaim that every mother deserves genuine care and every child deserves the opportunity to live.

Why This Campaign Is So Important

Medication abortion—commonly called the abortion pill—has become the most frequently used method of abortion in the United States. CVS has chosen to dispense mifepristone at selected pharmacies in states where doing so is legally permitted. By entering the abortion-drug market, CVS is helping make abortion appear to be an ordinary part of neighborhood healthcare.

It is not.

Mifepristone is generally used with misoprostol to end the life of an unborn child and expel the child from the mother’s body. Women may experience significant pain and bleeding, and the FDA-approved prescribing information warns of potentially serious complications, including severe bleeding and infection. These realities should not be minimized or hidden behind the language of convenience.

Medication abortion also moves the experience away from a medical office and into a woman’s home, where she may undergo the physical and emotional trauma largely alone. When complications arise, she may have to recognize the danger herself and seek emergency medical assistance. No woman should be handed abortion drugs and then left to face their consequences in isolation.

Expanded access through telehealth and mail-order distribution also raises serious concerns about coercion, trafficking, abuse, and the ability to verify that a woman is acting freely. When there is no in-person examination, it may be more difficult to determine whether she is being pressured by a boyfriend, spouse, parent, trafficker, or abuser. Authentic concern for women requires that these risks be taken seriously.

Indiana Must Remain Vigilant

Indiana has enacted strong pro-life protections, but those protections cannot be taken for granted. Pro-life laws continue to face legal challenges, political opposition, and organized efforts to weaken or overturn them.

Court decisions, elections, legislation, and changes in public policy can place these protections at risk. If we become complacent, the progress made in defending unborn children and supporting their mothers could be lost. We must therefore remain prayerful, informed, engaged, and vigilant.

Our work did not end when Indiana enacted pro-life laws. Laws can protect life, but laws must also be defended—and hearts and minds must continue to be changed. The continued expansion of abortion drugs makes our peaceful public witness more necessary than ever.

Why We Are Here

Our purpose is to create public awareness, appeal to the consciences of corporate leaders and customers, and respectfully urge CVS to stop dispensing abortion drugs.

Most importantly, we are here to pray:

• For every child whose life is threatened by abortion.
• For every mother who feels frightened, pressured, or alone.
• For fathers and families to choose courage and responsibility.
• For pharmacists and healthcare professionals facing moral decisions.
• For the conversion of those who profit from or promote abortion.
• For CVS to reverse its policy.
• For Indiana’s pro-life protections to remain strong.
• For our elected officials, judges, and civic leaders to defend the dignity of every human life.
• For a culture in which every child is welcomed, every mother is supported, and every human life is protected and loved.

Please join us in maintaining a peaceful and compassionate presence. Let every word we speak and every action we take reflect the love of Christ. We trust that God can use even one prayer, one sacrifice, or one loving encounter to save a life and transform a heart.
