Good day to all volunteers for the third annual 40 Days For Life prayer vigil!! Our goal is to:
- pray to PREVENT the sale of the abortion pill regimen at Walgreens and CVS in Quincy .
- pray to end abortion in our state, country and world!
Over half of all abortions are chemical/medication abortions. On March 1st, 2024, Walgreens and CVS received their certification to supply and sell the 2-pill abortion regimen prescribed by a physician. They are actively administering the abortion pill regimen in large cities like Chicago and are on the path to becoming the largest abortion providers in the USA. The abortion pill regimen is used to kill a child in the womb of their mother up to 11-12 weeks gestation. Currently, this chemical/medical abortion makes up >65% of all abortions.
THIS IS A PRAYER VIGIL.
All participants will sign a "Statement of Peace" pledge with their first sign up of hours on this website.
Local rules to follow:
Do not park in the Walgreens parking lot. Park near 1817 Spring street where there will be a container on the front porch with signs to carry. The sign "Pray to End Abortion" is the primary sign.
Do not obstruct the sidewalk. Must pace/walk on sidewalk or sit/stand on grass area on 18th st. (Bring a chair). We are not allowed in the parking lot. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE DRIVEWAYS. STOP AND LOOK ALL DIRECTIONS.
Do not approach anyone but do say "Good Morning, afternoon" etc with pleasant voices. If a person wants to speak with us, only one volunteer should communicate why we are there and hand out 40daysforlife flyer. All else continue to pray. If harrassed, stay peaceful and do not engage. If necessary, call the police department. I have spoken with the police chief and the department is respectful of our efforts.
