Sidewalk Warriors for Life:
When returning to the sidewalk, park in the lot behind Planned Parenthood, past the empty grass field.
For your FIRST time on the sidewalk, we recommend using the parking lot at 4367 Downtowner Loop N, across the street from the side of Planned Parenthood, to better visualize the entire property including both stretches of sidewalk we compassionately cover in prayer, as well as look for a Certified Sidewalk Sidekick to join.
Do NOT park at Planned Parenthood, or stand on their private property, grass, or parking lot.
Please do NOT park in the Women's Resource Medical Center parking lot, or stand in front of their building or on their sidewalk!
Please do not block the driveways.
We are asked to limit our presence to 6 volunteer prayer warriors on the Planned Parenthood sidewalk at any time, and we are asked to be 10 feet apart. This is an old ordinance in Mobile. We were told that is fine to be walking and praying, and when we have more than 6 people, we can easily spread out and rotate using the entire sidewalk and open drive area behind the building.
We may greet the women and men to offer HELP and HOPE that is availiable in our community, including across the street at Women's Resource Center. We do not yell, or speak negatively at them, remember, they are victims of a culture that objectifies women and uses them for financial gains.
Suggestions:
Dress in layers to adjust to weather, consider a hat to shield from sun. Keep umbrella or rain jacket handy.
Post and/or carry signs with ProLife messages, especially 40 Days For Life signs to let people know why we are there.
Bring chairs if difficult to stand for long periods
Remember people driving past often show support by honking, waving, or giving a thumbs up! Please simply ignore any negative comments or gestures, spiritual warfare is affecting people who support abortion, and they need positive things to reflect on and lots of prayers, not attention for acting out.
