The womb should be the safest place in the world.

Instead, it's the deadliest, most violent place in the world, where tens of millions of babies are dismembered or poisoned every year.

This fall's 40 Days for Life campaign has united 681 cities around the world to pray for abortion-vulnerable moms and babies...

...but moms and babies aren't the only people who need our prayers.

Recently on The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we shared 10 more crucial prayer intentions to bring to the Lord this autumn:

"Pray to End Abortion" isn't a talking point. It's a recognition that we live in a broken, fallen world--and that only God can save us.

Aurora, Illinois

A sidewalk counselor in Aurora couldn't remember exactly what he told an abortion-bound woman on her way into Planned Parenthood...

...but Phil, the local 40 Days for Life leader, is confident that the prayers of five vigil participants opened the expectant mother's heart to the sidewalk counselor's message.

"I am keeping my baby!" the mom cried, sharing two ultrasound photos of her growing child as she left the abortion facility.

Aurora is a year-round 40 Days for Life 365 campaign--and this is the vigil's ninth saved baby of 2023!

Upland, California

Outreach efforts in Upland are going well, as local leaders Claude and Nicole say they are bringing new volunteers out to the sidewalk.

One participant is attempting to join the vigil EVERY DAY!

"We have others who came for the first time to our rally and then returned a few hours later to pray their own vigil!" Claude and Nicole reported. "We had several new prayer warriors who have been coming consistently since our opening day and so many of our faithful prayer warriors returned this fall. ... God is ever faithful!"

Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.

--Mark 1:17-18

Lord, we pray that you might grant each of us the courage to follow your will, regardless of the personal cost. You made your disciples Simon and Andrew into “fishers of men” so that they could bring other people closer to you. Help us to do the same. We ask that you bless all people in the pro-life movement by reminding them that you are with them. Help them to carry out their earthly mission in a way that reflects your eternal love. Amen.
