We're closing in on the 150th abortion facility to close following a 40 Days for Life campaign...

...and the latest is from another state that isn't exactly in the Bible Belt.

Reno, Nevada, is located in the middle of a region of the country known as the Unchurched Belt--a handful of states with the nation's lowest church attendance.

But the Christians who do live in Reno put their faith into action, and their prayers were answered with the closure of the West End Women's Medical Group abortion facility.

"It was a great piece of news and a great confirmation of God's love in this world and in my heart," wrote Lauren, who led the 40 Days for Life campaign in front of the now-shuttered abortion business.

The closure is just the latest sign that 40 Days for Life vigils work anywhere.

In recent years, we've seen abortion facilities go out of business after campaigns in cities like Chicago, London, Seattle, and New York City. And the milestone 250th abortion worker to quit her job in response to a vigil was located in Illinois!

If God can answer prayers in these abortion sanctuaries, what will he do in YOUR community?

The only way to find out is to join your local vigil and ask God to end abortion where you live:

Tallahassee, Florida

Vigil participants in Florida's capital gather every Thursday evening for a prayer service across the street from Planned Parenthood's gates.

"It is a beautiful time of day and an opportunity for peaceful prayer and fellowship," said Carolyn, who leads the Tallahassee campaign.

Planned Parenthood is open late on Thursdays, so it's the perfect time to bring campaign volunteers together for a united service.

"Some clients and staff know that we are there praying for them, as do the residents of the apartment complex next door," Carolyn added.

A clergyman at St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral recently led the service while attendees shared in reading prayers and a litany for the end of abortion.

Chapel Hill, North Carolina

While the rainbow has been hijacked for distinctly anti-Christian purposes...

...Angela hopes that the brilliant double rainbow she witnessed at the Chapel Hill 40 Days for Life vigil is a sign of the symbol's original message: God's mercy and hope.

"Looks like a lot of hope being poured out for us," wrote Kathy, the local leader. "Thank you, Jesus, for everything!"

Norristown, Pennsylvania

It was also rainy in Norristown, where more than 15 prayer warriors filled the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood in spite of the weather.

"I'm sure that many abundant graces poured down upon them along with the rain!" said Helen, the Norristown campaign leader.

Prayer warriors wisely displayed their signs on a folding table to leave their hands free for umbrellas.

And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice.

--Luke 17:15

Dear Lord, thank you for the innumerable babies and mothers who have been saved from abortion through 40 Days for Life. And thank you in advance for the lives that will be changed through this campaign. Work in our own hearts so that we might see every circumstance as a chance to grow closer to you and to express our thanksgiving for your faithfulness. Amen.
