The 40 Days for Life kickoff is September 20, 2026 in the gathering space at Saint Michael Parish in Olympia, WA. Come join us from 1–2pm for an hour of free lunch, speakers, discussion, support, and book and sign distribution! Children welcome!
The united prayers of over 1,000,000 worldwide volunteers (since 2004) continue this fall on Legion Way as volunteers can take a public stand for the Author of Life — Jesus Christ and the people He loves — which include even "the least of these."
The local 40 Days for Life campaign runs September 23 through November 1 in which volunteers can sign up for a time slot at www.40daysforlife.com/en/Olympia to peacefully pray outside the Olympia Planned Parenthood clinic (always with 1 other person), bearing witness to the sanctity of life while praying for the unborn, mothers, clinic workers, and all in those driving by who see abortion as a solution.
The 40 Days for Life mission is:
1. Prayer and Fasting — Jesus said that some demons can only come out through prayer and fasting.
2. Constant Vigil (we do not recommend in-person vigil at night in Olympia, but distant prayer vigil at night is welcome)
3. Community Outreach "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Women and their unborn child deserve so much more than abortion. We pray we can be the light they are looking for to give them answers and direction to just options.

40 Days for Life 17 Commandments of Safety:
- Stay safe, always.
- Try to have at least two vigil participants.
- Never be alone after dark.
- Conduct the vigil in a safe and public or otherwise lawful location.
- If you feel threatened, leave and call the police.
- If your path is blocked, call the police.
- If you are touched, call the police.
- If you can safely do so, photograph/film events.
- If the police arrive, be polite and cooperative.
- If you are ordered to leave by competent governmental authority, do so and contact 40 Days for Life headquarters.
- Do not trespass.
- Do not threaten.
- Do not touch others.
- Do not display or discuss weapons.
- Do not curse.
- Do not block anyone’s path/right-of-way.
- Obey all laws
