THE TALLAHASSEE 2026 Fall 40 DAYS FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN 

(Specific information on the Tallahassee campaign and parking is at the end.) 

There is a terrible tragedy occurring in our country. Each day, thousands of people die and thousands more are wounded by abortion. An estimated 900,000 people in the U.S. are killed annually, and millions more around the world die from the same cause, this cause is abortion. In July of 2022 there were over 400 reported abortions in Leon County. This is a tragedy of epic proportions and it cries out for a response from the Christian community.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

RESPONDING TO ABORTION

Abortion is certainly a terrible blight on our country but there is a God-honoring and effective way to respond. The 40 Days for Life campaign, built on a foundation of prayer and fasting, recognizes that with God, all things are possible - even ending the tragedy of abortion. Since the first 40 Days for Life campaign started in 2004, God has made possible amazing results:

• More than 20,000 lives saved from abortion (those are just the ones we know about)

• 200+ abortion workers have quit their jobs and walked away from the abortion industry

• More than 100 abortion facilities closed following 40 Days for Life campaigns

God's blessing on the movement is amazing, but He also has chosen to bless the campaign by bringing together His people to pray together:

• More than 6,500 individual campaigns have taken place across 60+ countries

• More than 1,000,000 people have joined together to pray and fast for an end to abortion 20,000+ church congregations have participated in 40 Days for Life campaigns

Each year the Spring Campaign take place from Ash Wednesday to Palm Sunday, and, the Fall Campaign is observed during the forty days ending on the first Sunday in November.

THE TALLAHASSEE VIGIL SITE

The Tallahassee 40 Days for Life 2026 Fall Campaign, begins Wednesday September 23rd , November 1st 2026. 

The prayer vigil location is at the public right of way on the sidewalk outside The Abortion facility at 2618 West Tennessee Street. Parking is on the grass to the right of 2610 West Tennessee St.

The prayer vigil is twelve hours on Monday through Saturday for the forty days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. 

The Kick Off Event is Tuesday Evening September 22nd 6:30pm at the prayer vigil location (see above) with Guest Speaker: Ramona Treviño, former Planned Parenthood manager and currently a 40 Days for Life outreach director.

Saturday Morning Weekly Group Prayer: 9:15 to 10 AM Public Right of way on the sidewalk outside Abortion Center at 2618 W Tennessee St

The prayer vigil is most effective when there are people present and praying for the End of Abortion between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM during the forty days. This is what 40 Days for Life is all about. 

Post abortion workers have said the no-show rate of women scheduled to have abortions can rises as high as 75% when people are outside of their facilities praying.

So participating in the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil saves the lives of unborn children. 

Please visit this website to schedule your times to pray at the vigil site. We need people to schedule themselves whenever they are willing to come. Please help us out by coming to the vigil during times when there is no other person on the schedule. If you forget to sign up before you come to pray please try to record the hours you were present afterwards. 

When you sign up for prayer times this also includes your acceptance and agreement to abide by the 40 Days for Life Statement of Peace. 

Please encourage your family, friends, and the members of your church, to sign up and come with you. 

And, please encourage as many of them as you can to also sign up and come at other times to pray at Planned Parenthood for the end of abortion in our community and our nation. 

We need as many volunteers as possible to fill the 14 hours on each of the forty days of the vigil. That's 560 hours to fill. If all of the people of Tallahassee who oppose legal abortion came for just one hour there would be dozens of people praying at Planned Parenthood every hour of each of the forty days. 

The prayer vigil is held in the public right-of-way on West Tennessee Street, in front of the Planned Parenthood facility, this is all along the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood particularly at the western corner of War Chant Drive and West Tennessee Street. War Chant Drive is the entrance to the Planned Parenthood facility.

The public right-of-way is approximately 20 feet wide, measured from the curb of the street. As a general rule if you are between the street curb and the utility poles you are always standing in the public right-of-way. Please don't stand in the median of Tennessee Street, standing in the median of any street in the city is illegal for safety reasons, even though it is in the public right-of-way. And please stay off of the property of Planned Parenthood. Trespassing on the property of Planned Parenthood is a violation of the Statement of Peace that everyone who participates in 40 Days for Life agrees to abide by. 

Feel free to bring folding chairs if you are not able to stand up during the time you are praying at the vigil site. 

Please bring 40 Days for Life signs whenever you come to the vigil site. This is so people will know why you are there, and let them know about the 40 Days for Life ministry. Please never bring signs that display explicit images of dismembered aborted children. If you need 40 Days for Life signs the leaders have a limited number of signs that we can distribute to you. You can also get Signs, clothing, books and other merchandise related to 40 Days for Life on the national website. 

There is no shade along this part of Tennessee Street so using sunscreen or hats and long sleeve shirts is advisable.

PARKING

Parking for those who come to pray during the vigil, and during services, is available in the grassy space beyond Mosaic Sexual Health Clinic at 2610 West Tennessee Street.  This area is near the Lamar billboard which has the WHATABURGER advertisement on the west side, and the West 10 Apartments advertisement on the east side. 

Please DO NOT PARK in the paved parking area of Mosaic Sexual Health Clinic even when the clinic is closed. This paved area is only for the clients of Mosaic Sexual Health Clinic. Please cover any signs if walking through the Mosaic Sexual Health Clinic since they are not associated with 40 Days For Life. If it is physically possible for you walk directly to the sidewalk stepping over the chain so that we minimize walking through the Mosaic parking lot.

Individuals and groups who do not sign up for prayer times on this website, and therefore do not agree to the Statement of Peace, should not use 40 Days for Life signs, or wear 40 Days for Life clothing while at the vigil site.
